En tu canon r7 si hablamos de nitidez cual es mejor la 18 35 o la 18 50? Me interesa más la nitidez en mis fotos y videos por que en enfoque no hay casi nada de diferencia

Hi! Thanks for the video! When it comes to weeding videograph- night events.. would you prefer autofocus speed over the aperture? You’re convinced me about the 18-50 2.8. Thanks again!

Hey! No problem! For night events the 18-35 is the better choice, but if it isnt too dark than you can bump up your ISO and use the 18-50

What about differences when run and gun at night in lower light situations?

So it's a bit tricky, the auto focus is a bit better on the 18-50 and certainly quieter than the 18-35. But the 18-35 gives you that extra stop of light, so as far as low light performance the 18-35 will work better. A good example is for weddings i go with the 18-35 all the way especially for the reception/party.

Many thanks. Love my 18-105 f4, but will be traveling next summer and I'm looking for an f2 or below to take with me for night shooting. I appreciate your video and response.

Have you used the hoods when doing the test? Looks like the 18-55 can handle better on harsh lights. The 18-35 has haze.

You know the APSC lenses that make me tick.🤩 My only gripe with mirrorless lenses like the 18-50 in comparison to a DSLR lens like the 18-35, is the lack of reliable feedback in manual focus. No matter the brand, they just can't match up to a mechanically coupled auto focus ring.

I was very excited to do this test because ive been using the 18-50 a lot, and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out by not using the 18-35 more. Glad you enjoy!!!

JUST WOW! Exactly what I was looking for, I'm getting the 18-50 because of the size and weight, also it seems like there's a little bit of hunting with the MC-11 adapter. Thank you!

the difference in size and weight is quite different , but the sigma 18-50 extends when zoomed , how about when you put it on a gimbal such as the sony fx30 - sigma18-50 and dji rs3 mini combo... thanks you ...I watched a video of you of the sony fx30 with the sigma 18-35 on the dji rs3 mini and I need to put the sony wireless mic on top, I think the sigma 18-50 worked better for me, but the zoom worries me
@ReachFilms Жыл бұрын
yes as you note the weight difference is a huge factor, I definitely enjoy using the 18-50 more on the rs3 mini its WAY WAY lighter and more pleasant to use. Especially for a full day of filming

@@ReachFilms … question: do you balance the gimbal with the 18-50 lens at medium zoom at 40
@enriquemiranda6634 Жыл бұрын
I ask because with the 18-35 1.8 I can zoom and I don't lose the balance, I don't want an 18-50 2.8 that makes me suffer with the balance and the zoom… thanks for your input and videos
@ReachFilms Жыл бұрын
@@enriquemiranda6634 if you balance at 35 on the 18-50 you may be ok, but if you balance at 18 you will probably have an issue at 50

*I was looking at the 18-50mm for Talking Head vids*
@ReachFilms Жыл бұрын
I’ve used it for a few of my videos and really liked it! In a studio setting it looks great! My past few videos were on that lens. For this video I was using the R7 for my talking head, so I used the 18-35. If the rumors are true I’ll get one for the Canon and that would probably be my studio A cam.

Couldn't put text on video editing? why put text. so i don't have to keep rewinding every 5 seconds. especially you use a lens that are so similar. it just makes sense to label the video. i love your videos. hoping for improvement.
