Sigma has been my favourite lens for a while now as well, the sigma 18-35 f1.8 stays on my gimbal permanently as it zooms internally, great video bro 👍

Please I just bought a S5 and I find signs 18-35 with reasonable price to start with is it great and can deliver good stuff

28-70 is better for hybrid shooting. 18-35 is cropped and the autofocus is unusable

I mean you said “how is it for video” and then lumped in auto focus? Is auto focus all you care about? If so, don’t even bother with the S line at all and go Sony or canon until Panasonic gets their shit together

some big flaws with Lumix s5II and 28-70 : IBIS wobbling at 28 mm , much of outofocus when u zoom the lens and use autofocus . unstable af-c . Native lens would be the best choice

I saw they released new firmware for this lens so that you have the linear focus option on the lumix s-series. Have you tried that, and how did it feel?

It’s not great. Better than old Panasonics. But not better than even something like an a7iii. Although at 60fps it’s actually quite solid
