They are available (but there are very few dealers) AMI have been forced to brand them Kindred though because St Louis Music (Alvarez) have acquired the leasing rights (from Martin) to use the Sigma name in the US. If you want AMI guitars with the Sigma branding you will need to buy them from Canadian dealers.

Ronnie Williams I wish that used Gibsons and Martins were available here. We can only buy the new ones. Here in Denmark Sigmas are available in a number of shops. I can recommend akustikken in Aarhus, Denmark.

Sigma are great guitars, not just for the money. I got a new Sigma SDM-18 last year, an all solid wood (mahogany, sitka, ebony) D-18 copy and man it's freaking amazing! Light as a feather too.

I sold a 1981 Ibanez Floral 560BK for $2000 and bought this guitar brand new in Australia fir $350... It sounds better than the old Ibanez.... These are laughably good value!

I know this is an old post but I read somewhere that these Sigma's (owned by AMI) are under a different name in the US, think they're sold as Kindred?

How was the intonation on this one? My friend just bought one and all strings were about 30 cents flat at the 12th fret, which is a huge error in bridge/saddle positioning. I’m really surprised, because I’m a huge fan of Sigma guitars, but this one was way off.

I bought used one and it's really good. Had to check the intonation after this comment (before buying it) so thanks for that. No broplems here. Intonating acoustic guitar is a luthier class job but a new bridge isn't too expensive. I like the guitar really much, it sounds amazing when recorded. I bought it because my main clients use grand jumbo sized acoustic guitars (Gibson J-200 and The Martin) and kinda fell in love with the type of tone you get out of a grand jumbo size. But I can't afford 5000€ guitars so this was really nice found for peanuts.

I am looking at buying this model. I treid it and loved it . I have The Sigma D15M and love it but find it a bit big for my body size. This one i found a lot more comfortable to play even though it is not a small body guitar. do you recommend Sigma? I have read a lot of negative remarks and are never mentioned in good brand name guitars. but i find them awesome quality and sound. I traded an electric for the D15M and find it to be a very well made and awesome guitar. Do you like the Sigma brand guitars Yourself Personally?

@@isaacksonjohnson4061 Yes . The previous owner had a new hard shell case for it . I changed my mind after and got the Martin 000-15M after a long wait in Nov/2020 and love it .

purpose of bridge is get all vibration to top of the guiatar, not to resonate, micarta seems good fot this stuff
