Jesus how does this only have 618 views? Great content. Could you talk more about the use of this on a gimbal particularly the movi pro. Any idea what the total weight with the epic w is with the gimbal?

Thanks man! Its really well fittet for that, the movi pro has tons more of power back there, but its not needed, not even the 50-100 lens is really heavy and it does not bring the movi to its maximum at all. I used the epic w, 50-100, connex amimon video downlink, 15mm rods and a dji follow focus. so that all is still less weight in your hand compared to using a dji ronin with an a7s and a small photo lens, i promise. Movi pro cuts weight so intensely! Powering all that gear made me change both batteries all 40minutes keeping 30% of the battery voltage on the movi pro batteries. Total weight, i can not tell at all, i am really bad on that and i never weighed it, wouldnt change the game if i knew the weight, but i assume its something around almost 5kg? i know weights from lifting in the gym and i would assume its a bit less than 5kg weight. Anything more you would like to hear? best, Thomas

Awesome. Thanks for the reply. I currently run a GH5, Teradek Bolt 500, RRMicro Wireless Follow Focus, and some other accessories on a Ronin-M. It weighs in between 11-14 LBS depending on the photo lens I am running. I think this is about the max I could carry for a long time without an assist rig. I am actually looking at investing in the Epic-W and Movi Pro soonish... .been doing lots of research. Thanks for putting so much into this video it was great to see some footage from this combo.

Awesome video! I have heard that there is a bit of vignetting when shooting at 8K FF on the Epic-W with the 18-35mm T2 Sigma Lens. Is this true? Much appreciation!

Hey Matthew, Yes, its true since it is an lens designed for APSC Cameras, the Epic W is a S35 Sensor, so it is an edge bigger than APSC. But if you go onto 19.5, 20mm there wont be any vignetting on that lens, so as it is a zoom, there is no trouble to not use the 18mm, its still really wide and great :) But the 18 35 zoom is a killer lens, really. Its so cool to use! best Thomas

That's good! Yeah, I have been trying to get some good glass for my Epic-W. I do corporate style work, but also some short films on the side. I saw the 18-35mm T2 and the 50-100mm T2, and they looked to be the best for both styles of filming. My only concern was the vignetting. But like you said, a simple adjustment fixes that. Amazing work, btw. I really like the cats in the snow video!
