That was a great deal! I have that OG XF56 too and got it with 6 months still on the warranty two years ago for $450. It's a really sweet lens. It was the first lens I purchased after getting my X-T3. Then, I got the XF90 f2 which is also sweeet! Enjoy that XF56!

Have a cheap a mount Sony 35mm f1.8 lens. It cost me less than $100 years ago. Auto focus, light. I use it with an adapter on my Sony A7R3 that uses the E mount. I don't need F 1.4 or wider F1.2 aperture lenses. Stop pissing away money on overpriced lenses! LOL. Been a working pro photographer for 20 + years and don't piss away money buying the best lenses. I buy used ones at discount, depreciated, find the best copies of them and save a ton of money over the years. If you saw the motley crew of lenses I use, you would laugh. I don't need the best lens. I need lenses that will be good enough to get the job done. Learned that lesson very early on.

Casey, there is something I wanted to question you about your videos. When you display the lens you are using in your videos, you are referring to the in T-stop and not F-stops and I’m not sure why? There is a slight difference between these two values for any lens and most likely not the same. Also cinema lens are usually measured in t-stop and not photographic lenses. Just curious.

Just wondering on your list of gear, you don't show Nikon z6iii, which thought you also owned. Or did you choose not to show in gear links this video? Also the Canon C70 is a big camera, just wondering if you also do commercial video work and not just KZbin to justify buying? Regarding the ZV-E1 looks like very good vlog camera, had you considered the Sony A74 which has the EVF, or why choose the ZV-E1 instead? No need for an EVF?

He does not. Simply bought the C70 to make KZbin content about it. The A7iv has older Sony colors, has higher pixel count sensor, and lacks uncropped slow motion options. All things Mr. Camera Conspiracies HATES. Lol.. For me the A7Cii is a better option than the A7iv. It has the same pixel count, and lacks uncropped slow motion, but it has the newest Sony colors, and it is smaller and cheaper. Very phenomenal hybrid camera for some people.

I just bought a viltrox 20mm 2.8 for my Sony A7III exclusively to make vlogs when i go out. You think that a sigma lens that could allow me to go down to 1.4 would be a better choice instead to get more depth? Also why no one talks about the A7 III anymore?

The Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG HSM has some nice pop. 8 elements, 6 groups, no Low Dispersion lens. Quite decent color also. Anything after that they kind of lost their way to modern flatness. Check out the flickr groups on it. Dirty photography club mentions how the 85mm f1.4 has some nice pop, but he has not yet tried the 50mm f1.4 EX. to opine on it.

Have you looked into Techart's Leica M autofocus adapters for your Voigty? They have them for Sony and Nikon Z. Nikon's sensors stack behaves better with wide angle rangefinder lenses than Sony but most BSI sensors do okay. I think the corners will behave better on the Z6-III. AF is good in some situations and less so in others. I'm curious how they would work for the range you work your cameras in.

If you're filming (or taking a picture of) a trash can with an out of focus background it doesn't matter how much "3d pop" you have. If the subject matter is boring no one cares about your "pop".

Kasey _ I think I can help you with your exposure problem. A camera has a light meter inside. Nikon for instance has Spot, Matrix, and Center (they used to have highlight weighted that I wish they would bring back) but these are the part of your scene the camera will expose for. Matrix is an average for the total frame. Spot allows for you to use the spot you focus on for where the camera goes for exposure. Center will use the center of the frame no matter what. Once you decide on which part of the scene to meter for you can then fine tune the exposure to suit your needs with exposure compensation button and front dial moving it up or down up to ten stops either way with the aid of your histogram and waveforms or zebras. But I advise to go for what you find appealing in terms of exposure rather than to rely solely on these aids but to each there own. In any case though they may have different names for these 3 different types of metering and I think Canon also has one called 'zone' with them and the exposure compensation button you can dial in any exposure you are after no matter the shooting mode provided theres enough light in your scene. Hope this helps!!

In a Nikon, you can be in manual ISO while in aperture priority. You have to hold the ISO button and rotate the front dial to switch it off.

Just watched a video of yours titled "why most camera channels hate me" and you say its because they're sensitive and can't take your jokes, basically. I think its probably because in this video, you handpicked comments to shit on for not picking YOUR lenses that have "3d pop" which isn't even something that is measurable, and is heavily debated whether its even real or not, or to essentially call them poor for not affording an FX3, which is a $4,000 camera. As someone with an FX3, I can't imagine bullying someone over their camera choice with a ZV-E1. Can you get something that doesn't overheat in 5 seconds and stop being so poor? Or perhaps just sell everything else and keep the canon which is $4.5k and doesn't even have a full frame sensor.

I would suspect the settings on your laptop. No clipping here and YT Stats for Nerds shows the audio to be correct at -0.03db.
