Brace yourself for a thrilling adventure into the captivating world of human genetics, where we'll explore the mysterious inner workings of the human body. At sqadia.com, we're excited to present our latest video that delves into the fascinating realm of Protein 70 S6 kinase, p90rsk, Protein 90 ribosomal S6 kinase, and many other terms.
We will be discussing types of Signal transduction Cascades such as G-protein, RTK, and cGMP Signaling Pathways.
GLUT-1, GLUT-4 are involved in Insulin Signaling. We will also discuss examples of Signal transduction Cascade such as the role of CREB in the nervous system and Insulin Signaling.
Insulin receptors are tetrameric receptors. Don't be intimidated if these terms seem unfamiliar to you, because our genetics video will guide you through every step of the way.
Let's delve in and expand our knowledge on these critical topics of genetics.
▬ 📃 Signal Transduction Cascade ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Signal transduction Cascade is the process through which cells communicate with the external environment, interpret stimuli, and respond to them. This mechanism is controlled by signaling cascades, which play the role of intracellular transmitters, being able to transmit biochemical information between the cell membrane and nucleus.
The Signal transduction Cascade involves:
🟠 Signal Molecules
🟠 Signal Receptor
🟠 Signal Conveyer
🟠 Signal Transducers
🟠 Transcription Factors
▬ 📜 Types of Signal Transduction Cascade ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
In genetics, there are the following Types of Signal transduction Cascades:
🔵 G-Protein Signaling Pathway
🔵 Tyrosine Receptor Kinase Signaling Pathway
🔵 cGMP Signaling Pathway
👉 G-protein Signaling Pathway
G protein-mediated signaling starts by binding of an agonist molecule that leads to the activation of GPCR. GPCR is also a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that promotes the exchange of guanosine diphosphate (GDP)/guanosine triphosphate (GTP) associated with the Gα subunit.
👉 Tyrosine Receptor Kinase Signaling Pathway
Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) are a group of membrane-bound receptors that play an important role in the normal function of cells. They act as signal transducers that mediate cell-to-cell communication by phosphorylating tyrosine residues on key intracellular substrate proteins.
👉 cGMP Signaling Pathway
The cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) signaling pathway is an intracellular nucleotide cascade that is also involved in neuroplasticity. It is closely related to cAMP signaling, but it has received little attention in the biology of MDD and antidepressant action.
▬ 📃 Examples of Signal Transduction Cascade ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Examples of the signal transduction cascade are as follows:
🟢 Role of CREB in Nervous System
🟢 Insulin Pathway
👉 Role of CREB in Nervous System
CREB as a nuclear transcription factor binds to CRE (cAMP response element), regulating the transcription activity of its downstream substrates, which regulate neuronal processes, including metabolism and survival, and expression of different transcription factors and growth factors.
