Note the slight smile in the end of the promise ending as compared to memory. Also the slightly different pose she ends up in in promise, not one we find the old body in for the new arm like in memory. Absolutely beautiful.

This game is a cinematic masterpiece. So ellusive but such is the existential. And incredible experience and amazing playthrough of it too. I rememeber seeing the initial demo and to now see the game in its entirety, what a beautifully tragic work. Truly immersive.

I went into Signalis absolutely blind and was blown away. I got the Memory ending and I’m happy with that for my first run, I’m just very unclear on what exactly determines which ending you get??

I know I'm late to this, but there are a variety of variables that affect your ending. Total play time, total enemies killed, total NPC lines of dialogue read, total damage taken, total time spent recovering, total items used... You'll probably get the "Leave" ending if you don't kill many enemies, run around them, and don't use many items. You'll probably get the "Memory" ending if you don't talk to anyone and rush through the game. You'll probably get the "Promise" ending if you kill enemies, take damage, spend a lot of time injured, and take more time in the game.

Explain to me how I am at 5 hours of playtime, and I am only at 2:30 of this video. Do you speedrun it or something, or am I super slow somehow.

You might be a little slow but don't worry, just sit back and enjoy it. Some of the intro and the mines were re-recorded after fps testing and not being satisfied with the recording and I still felt very lost, it's a lot to take in. Always use a notebook or something on these games to write stuff down. The Steam community for Signalis is also excellent and worth a read but beware if you're avoiding spoilers.

Was almost put off by it because all the reviews i'd seen focused heavily on how gay it was and i just expected it to be another one of those boring crap games made to promote a political agenda, luckily it does not seem that is the case and it's actually a serious game that actually tries to build a compelling narrative

I think it might be my favourite game of all time. It's all I ever wanted from video games after learning about Silent Hill but not being able to experience it. Some games are artsy, but Signalis is one of those games that's pure art.

I don't mean to nitpick, but all developers of games seem to have a lack of understanding of firearm calibers. The 10x20 caliber standard pistol in this game roughly equates to a 10mm pistol and just like Fallout games the pistol seems to be underpowered. Average people don't really understand just how powerful that caliber is, and I think its stems from the uncommon use of a 10mm pistol in everyday life. A vast majority of the population especially in western societies do not interact with firearms on a daily basis so I suppose they should be forgiven for their lack of understanding. Many people are aware and semi familiar with 9mm pistols and generally they aren't considered to be a hand cannon or a big boy caliber like say .5O AE or 44 Mag, and since 10mm is fairly uncommon and it is only 1mm larger than a 9mm they probably assume it's only a little bigger when in reality it is a vastly more powerful round. 9mm is quite deadly on its own despite being a small round with minimal recoil but crank that up to 10mm and you go from average small arms to a hand cannon. I just can't overstate the difference between the two rounds, if you shot something with a 10mm that wasn't wearing any protective gear such as a Kevlar vest or a hard plate carrier it would make a 9mm seem like a pea shooter in comparison. The temporary wound channel and kinetic energy transfer is much greater and would likely kill anything not armored or supernatural in one round if say shot in center mass or headshot.
