Thank you so much mam for the marvelous explanation about International Relations . This lecture was really enlightening. According to my observations from your given explanation- The official relations between sovereign countries are described as International Relations. IR is not a single subject but a bundle of subjects..of law, economics, political science, geography." We need to study International Relations to get information and a clear view about diplomatic, bilateral and multilateral issues or affairs between different sovereign states. IR tells us that how relations are conducted and maintained between states. International relations helps in the act of negotiation and it is also playing a key role in putting diplomacy and national interest within the bargains of other states. IR is definitely done between independent sovereign states but though independent they all are somehow connected due to common issues which is arising globally. It helps in tacking terrorism, climate change , epidemic , war, human rights, migration or natural disaster .In modern times the significance of international relation become more broad due to globalization . It is significant in protecting national interests and also help in formulate foreign policies. International relations influence our lives on a regular basis as global markets, the World Wide Web, travelling and trading which stimulate a flood of people, products, and ideas across national borders.Increased flow of communication allows vital information to be shared between individuals and corporations around the world. It increases in environmental protection in developed nations and also collaboration of different states also considered as vital means for understanding other countries in an efficient way .

Quite informative... This lecture mainly talks about the Definitions offered by prominent scholars and nature of IR which is interdisciplinary as it includes the areas of economics, history, political science etc. The difference between International politics and international Relations is also explained and that the latter is s much more wider term as it Covers every aspect of relations between states, whereas the former deals only with thr political relations of states. And lastly the lecture also talks about the why Should we study IR...As the world is becoming interconnected through social media, migration , globalisation etc... IR is a great way To gain understanding of global issues and is quite interesting as well.

A critical, if I may on behalf of all the people who are not native speaker of English, we are foreign speaker of English lunguage. So, Dr. Amna Mirza should give her lecture by showing the slides. When we follow both from the slides and from her voice, we can understand what she said. But now, she show her face, she is a beautiful woman, I see ::::))))), but in this case we cannot understand what she told. She should speak by showing the wriitten slides, not her face. When we both read the slides and listen to her voice, we can understand the subject. She should show more slides than herself Thank you. Norman Podel ford and George Lincoln define international relations - as the interaction of State politics with the changing pattern of power relationship.
