The Americans thought that they could get China on their side in the New World Order, hence they allowed industries to be setup in China with American innovative knowledge, and allowed relocation of many industries to China mainland. However, it did not quite pan out that way. The Chinese were not going to be pawns here of Americans. Also, China ignored a lot of Intellectual Property in their pursuit of industrialization and economic development.

In case investors are unwilling to setup industries in Pakistan, the next best thing Pakistan can do is save a lot of forex over time and use it to purchase industrial tech and transfer it locally. Can start from a couple of strategic industries. For that we need to get rid of debt which is swinging like a sword of Damocles, and gradually build sufficient forex to be able to purchase industrialization equipment.

This "economic" analysis is inaccurate and the opposite of what's wrong with Pakistan's economy. We are behind in exports because we ARE primarily exporting value added products rather than manufacturing and exporting raw materials. No economy achieves significant growth based on value added products. On the contrary, raw materials are what grow economies. Sethi Sb should stick to politics only or do some proper research on Pakistan's economy rather than misleading youngsters who are still in the process of learnng.
