We should not call those men "deserters"! Poor people, conscripts with violence, beatings, criminal ambushes, kicks and punches, as we all have seen in hundreds videos, thrown to the front line only to become cannon fodder, if they decide to say that enough is enough, we cannot call them deserters. They are just men who refuse to be sacrificed to the Moloch that wants to devour them, they are not deserters, but victims who finally raise their heads against their persecutors.

Well, I repeat, If now they say enough, we have no right to call them "deserters", for me they are BRAVE MEN, and I pray for their lives and their families!

@@elisabettamacghille4623 fascinating that you've got the stamina to watch hundreds of such vids. Why do you call conscription officers "criminals" and draft dodgers "just men"? That makes little sense. I have seen lots of videos where Russian soldiers complain about the systemic violence that you attribute to Ukraine. To me it's undeniable that Russian treatment of its front-line soldiers is worse.

They are not Soviets anymore. Russia has failed to go full capitalist after the breakup of the Soviet Union, because their experimentation with it in the 90s was such a disaster, but they are a long way from a communist system. While they face huge challenges, every country does in the 2020s, they are far, far, better off in the Soviet era. Without the war, and/or hostility from/with Ukraine, interrupting trade with Western Europe, they would be doing fantastically well. For example, they have managed to pay off a national debt that rivalled the American one in the last 20 years. Most Russians would rather the war never happened, but economically they understand that they cant afford Crimea and control of the vast amount of trade that flows through it in Peacetime, to fall into the hands of a hostile government. While Westerners are led to believe Putin is a cruel dictator, loathed by the people, most people in Russia dislike him, and in a way appreciate him, more like a nasty medicine that they need to take, to survive. The closest thing to it are the string of military governments Pakistan kept on supporting in the late 20th century. Modern democracy can be very corrupt, and a lot of countries, including some Western ones, can't seem to get it to work in a way that the people can afford it.
@CirKhan
@CirKhan 2 күн бұрын
Yes, it does. In all states citizens are liable for conscription in case of war (on indeed during peacetime in some of them that still retain national service). Going AWOL for prolonged period of time is a desertion, no matter if the solider in question is a professional, volunteer, reservist or a conscript. Individual nations military legislation and practices may vary in details, but once you are member of an armed forces, you cannot just leave your unit without threat of persecution just because you feel like it. As for Ukrainians, it's much better to avoid getting conscripted altogether, any way they can, or to surrender at first opportunity, as deserters are visible administratively, and will suffer grave consequences once they get apprehended. It's not a matter of being fined, or sent to jail, but of being beaten senseless by the goon squads and then being deliberately sent to a suicide missions.

The deployment of the hypersonic-ballistic Oreshnik missile, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, was no mere “combat test.” It was a calculated signal, a demonstration of Moscow’s resolve to defend its red lines with decisive force. The West’s strategy, built on the illusion of Russian hesitance, is a catastrophic miscalculation. Moscow has no illusions about what’s at stake, and its actions reflect a sobering acknowledgment of the existential threat posed by NATO’s provocations. Unlike the Cold War, this is no longer a game of chess where careful strategy and mutual respect for red lines dictate moves. This is poker, played with nuclear chips, where bluffing and brinkmanship replace logic and restraint. The U.S. and NATO, emboldened by their own propaganda, are gambling that Russia won’t escalate. But Russia, rooted in a historical memory of existential defense, isn’t playing the West’s game, it’s prepared for survival. History will not be kind to those who gamble with humanity’s future for the sake of their own political vanity. It’s time for the West to step back, not as an act of weakness, but as an acknowledgment of reality. - Gerry Nolan TheIslanderNews for Intel Republic
@luminatrixfanfiction
@luminatrixfanfiction 2 күн бұрын
Well said, that more or less sums up the situation. Sadly, the West will never see stepping back as an acknowledgement of reality, but see it as an act of weakness. The problem is, they made a miscalculated gamble, that they could crush the Russians based on the kind of doctrine they've operated dating back to the Soviet Union. Having failed that, they don't know what to do. They won't step back because they will see it as a weakness, and the world will know who the real bad guys are and their narrative falls apart. That's why I'm cautiously dubious about how the next five weeks is going to play out before Trump gets into the office. So much can happen in that time.

Another factor imho is the drones which have largely nullified established armored warfare doctrine and forced unit commanders to re-think their deployment and operational tactics. I believe that they have learnt their lessons from last year and have applied them successfully this year, and that is as much the reason for their steady advance as the lack of manpower and weapons on the opponent's side. Army usually consists of 2 types of personal,ideological volunteers and reserve recruits. IV's are keeping RRs in check,either trough command or threat(or both). Thing is,IV's are usually the ones at the front and are the ones that will first die out. Currently in Ukraine,such IV's are either in Kursk or grave(or maimed beyond capability to fight again),meaning that untrained and unprepared recruits are less willing to fight and die for a elite that is hiding their buttcheeks in Kiev. During these 700+ days of constantly advancing, they haven't been interested in throwing big arrow offensives all over the place. What they do is use attrition tactics and carefully pick the positions they advance into. Just to clarify desertion charges have a far larger scope than simply front line troops - yes it's still a massive issue, but men who have simply been registered for service but not yet mobilised can be charged with desertion for failing to respond to mobilisation orders, and I suspect the majority of the cases involved are represented by these men rather then men that are already in combat, who would anyway have far fewer opportunities to evade combat and face far more... umm.. immediate and likely lethal consequences were they to do so.

The Russians don't overhaste. They don't want to loose too many people and while they do want to recapture the Ukrainian-held territories in the Kursk oblast, they also want to destroy as many Ukrainian elite units that the Ukrainians keep sending there.
@sometimeswitty6849
@sometimeswitty6849 2 күн бұрын
They could have taken Kursk already if they went for it, but with heavy losses on both sides, if it gives ukr higher morale, so what, whats the point of rushing things, let the enemy make there mistakes, you don't interrupt them when UKR is throwing in there best units, the young elite men with all the best equipment in an area where they are stretching there supply lines into Russian territory which is not secure, they're getting punished daily just getting into the breech, this will shorten the war by years most likely, RU goal is to demilitarize, it also means you fight on a static area, so the costs of rebuilding are less, so once the military machine crumbles, the resistance everywhere else will also crumble, they're playing for a large land grab now, its either remove them or they will remove you. The RU have better air superiority, shorter flights and reload times, UKR has lost so many air defence systems in kursk trying to take air superiority away from the RU in RU territory, the shape of the advanced area in kursk does not favour the UKR either, its not wide enough, they can't just stick some air defense systems on the border, there's nowhere they can't be hit and the russians are just picking them off, all that armour they have in kursk is also getting picked off with aviation strikes. THe UKR got full on baited, seeing this easy opening with all the defences 20 miles back, after there initial success they should have withdrew and tried it somewhere else, I'm sure to begin with the ukraines traded in extremely high favour, likely 10 to1 +, being the area was manned mainly by young men, basically children with AK's, UKr getting a better ratio has been rare for them, but instead they got into another quagmire and doubled down and now there tripling down in a place they're slowly losing, estimated 50k casulitaties of elite troops now, so whatever the objective was, it must have being important, as they're gambling everything on it now, which is why many think it is the nuclear plant, blow that sucker up and it causes alot of problems for RU, no doubt the UKR will bomb the clean up crews and make things impossible for RU, it would also make things very difficult economically, Chernobyl disaster according to wiki will cost russian 70billion USD immediately and 700billion dollars by the time clean up is done in 2060, with all the pressures currently on the RU federation, this could be the straw to break the camels back so to speak. Honestly the kursk situation is a wet dream for the russian command, fighting on there own turf, shorter supply lines ( they're also allowed to use conscripts there, as russian law forbids the use the conscripts outside of russia, as they're also technically not at war, as its an SMO, yes i know semantics, yet they've maintained that law, aside from corrupt RU generals and officers breaking it at the start of the war, all who were removed and punished) Russia is being invaded, recruitment went up straight away by afew thousand a month, that extra 30k is basically an extra month of troops, its big, every solider on the RU side fighting in ukraine is a contracted solider, not a regular solider, they're getting paid very well compared to Ukrainians, nearly 4 times as much. 40-50k USD a year compared to UKR getting like 12-15k, this is ultimately what will make the difference in my opinion, as long as RU can keep paying of course, that's why UKR has resorted to abducting hundreds of thousands of men and then wonder why they won't fight or abandon positions, if people don't want to fight for there country, its very telling why isn't it? its not worth it, frankly there's very few countries that have a government or system worth keeping that benefits the people, even russia is putting there money where there mouth is to get around this, but if they win outright, which is what the russian plan is, likely pushing all the way back to to dnipro, there's 15trillion USD worth of minerals, energy etc, this pays for everything, once alot of this stuff is turned into products, its even more, if russia is smart they won't just sell the minerals off for a quick buck, they'll make industries and specialize in things to take more power away from the west. Either way both sides are so invested now that there cannot be a peace, one side will break or the other will, currently UKR looks like its being worn away around the edges, RU on the other hand is going from strength to strength even if the ruble is turning into rubble.

I appreciate your honesty in reporting. It ia seldome more than a day out from "military summary" FYI - what very few physics scientists in the West are able to comprehend correctly, (due to the cosmology mathmaticians financially distracted away from studying electrodynamics involvement in the universe being undertaken in the 50's by the likes of Hannes Alfvin; Halton Arp; Anthony Peratt, et al), the Soviets and later Russian physicists realising electrodynamic forces are 10³⁹× more powerful than gravitational forces. Consequently their hypersonic missiles achieve velocities greater than those induced by gravity alone. Their trick is to speed up missiles by electrodynamically pulling the missile forward through its Plasma shield into an induced plasma vaccum ahead of the missile while providing a more "slippery" interface surface with the plasma enabling further increase in its Hypersonic velocity. NOTE: their Posiden torpedoes achieve their extreme underwater velocity in a similar manner... Remember how the UAP "tik-taks" manouver electrodynamically?
