@@actualmig Well I'm ok and better than I was for sure. I still have sine weird symptoms in my leg. Tightness around top of foot and ankle and thick heavy numbish feeling moved up same leg. Doctor doesn't think it's serious and to keep eye on it. The twitching I was having mostly gone.

I'm 11 and I have spasms every day and have anxiety problems I thought I had AlS even tho the doctors I've gone to all said I was fine and said it was growing pain but since my anxiety didn't trust the fact I was fine it started getting worse and I started getting breathing problems, pain and walking weirdly. Even tho everyday I have spasms and It hurts, I am happy it isn't Als

Physical spasms during adolescence are not uncommon. but if you feel you're losing muscle mass, you should go to the hospital.

My father died of ALS when he was 45, he was diagnosed at 43. He didn’t even survive a full three years after showing symptoms. I’m sorry I’m just seeing this and I hope she is comfortable. Realistically, that is the only thing you can do for her… is make her comfortable. Some people, like my dad, get it extremely aggressively. Others live for nearly a decade… and they’re considered “lucky.” The horrible thing is, they are completely within their right mind. They are fully aware that their body is failing them to the point where their communication of speech is impeded upon. Many cannot even speak without an interpreter or a device that speaks for them… and eventually they may not even be able to navigate their fingers to push the correct buttons. This disease is horrible on not only the patient but the loved ones. My dad was a big, independent guy. Not being able to go out and provide for his family or even care for himself destroyed his self-esteem. AlS normally isn’t what kills someone, usually it’s something else respiratory that their body cannot fight off. My dad died of pneumonia, because his lungs were so weak. Be kind to your sister. Do everything she needs done. She probably doesn’t have much time. Make good memories with her, go to handicap accessible places with her… give her some normalcy. Because everything changes so quickly with ALS.

I’m 20 years old and I’ve been getting muscle spasms in my right shoulder everyday for the past maybe 3 weeks. I’m very athletic and I lift weights and go to the gym almost everyday. I’m 33 was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in my neck and I had surgery bc I was walking funny ....my leg muscles are week and I got twitching in my left arm that my neurologist says is carpal tunnel....I too am worried about a misdiagnosis....also caught covid and now have difficulty talking ....I hope this ain’t the perfect storm ....anyone care to comfort? Als does not cause pain but weakness is a symptom of als but I don’t think you have als because first of all your age, second of all als symptoms are progressive and get worse over time.

I'm here for obvious reasons. Don't know what's wrong. But I know something is wrong. Been in denial for a couple of years. Symptoms came on slow. Not sure if is ALS? Thought it might even be MS. Thought it was MS because symptoms come and go. Good days bad days. I know people that have MS and they all say that..... Good days bad days. Don't know if ALS is like that? But I know MS is. My symptoms are: Have difficulty walking. Walk like I am drunk. Stumble a lot. I sometimes even fall. No dizziness, that's why I think it's motoneurological. It's just like I lose muscle control. Like I said good days bad days. Some days I walk fine, no symptoms. No noticable symptoms in arms or hands. Do notice swallow reflex not good. If I take try and swallow too much food or swallow too much liquid , I easily can get chocked. This is a little scary because I don't know how to self hymlic. I use to hike a lot. First notice some control loss 2 years ago hiking. Quit hiking last summer. Still walk in park when I don't have symptoms.

I'm only a child, and my muscles twitch, i have no other symptoms but those, as i said I'm still a child and get scared easily. I can't get sleep now because everytime i try to sleep, my muscles twitch. Could anyone help me with the symptoms?

Muscle twitches are part of the human body it's totally normal, if it happens when you're trying to sleep or sit still, you're just anxious or stressed out. I had really bad health anxiety a couple months ago, and I would twitch and shake a lot. Even if you don't feel stressed at the moment, your body is, so don't be scared if you get twitches when you're not nervous.

I had the same problem when I was a little younger I would also have twitches in my leg but it’s completely normal and they will stop eventually. Usually if you play sports or something it’s more likely.
