I gave birth 6 months ago and your videos really helped me prepare. My labour started with lower back pain for two hours, then four contractions within one hour. The contractions in early labour felt like really intense mensural cramps (to me at least). I laboured are home for 14 hours and when I arrived at the birth centre, I had reached 7cm. For me it was a mind-over-matter experience, getting through one contraction at a time, staying as calm as I could and trusting my birth team. Wishing any pregnant mothers all the best x

Hi Diana! I had my baby girl 12/14/21. I Started having contractions at 1:52 am that woke me up out of my sleep. It felt like intense menstrual cramps. Things progressed quickly. They were 15-20 mins apart then, it got faster, stronger and longer. I went to my birth center around 5am. Midwife said I was already 8-9 centimeters dilated. My water broke soon after she checked me. I then labored in the tub and my daughter was born via water birth at 6:14 am. My first baby and I had a great experience. It was the hardest, but most beautiful and empowering thing and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. 💕💕💕

@@linderaboflah7163 it wasn’t painful all depends on your doctors plan, they give me half of a pill around 12:30 then the other half around 4:30 by 6:45 am when my doctor came in to check my cervix it was hard still then he ordered another half , that I didn’t need because by 7:30 my contractions when from every 30 minutes to every minute my water broke then everything happen so quick that I can say from my seven baby’s this has been the most beautiful delivery experience! It did hurt extremely that I cried when I was fully dilated at 10 cm and when he crowned. I felt every contraction and because I read the book Mind Over Labor, it really helped me understand that as a biological woman, we are meant to give birth. It was a 12 hour labor and 15 minutes to push him out. It was an incredible feeling. For me, it was more of the fact that I grew a human and gave birth a a living life

Good morning, I gave birth to my baby girl on December 13,2021, which is also her dad bday lol. I was having actual contractions the night of December 12 and I thought it was just intense Braxton hicks because I felt the same thing the weekend before. So I decided to do what I did then and go to sleep. I was laying there like 15 minutes and all of a sudden I felt a gush of fluid and told my husband I think my water broke. We went to the hospital and they confirmed my water broke, dilated 5cm and 80%effaced. My contractions was coming every 2 minutes. I was in labor 15 hours when my contractions went from 2 min to 5min and they started me on oxytocin. Two hours later when I felt contractions I felt heavy pressure and more gushing. I called the nurse to check me and she did and she confirmed it was time to start pushing. I started pushing at 1:40pm on 12/13/21. At 3:00pm they called the doctor because I had a tear. 25 minutes later my daughter head was out but the doctor told me to stop pushing because her right shoulder was stuck. The doctor did few maneuvers and got her out and she did not cry right away, the doctor said she was stunned from being stuck. She was assessed and everything was ok they placed her on my chest. The placenta was delivered and I had to get trans urethral suture and I also had a 2nd degree tear that was sutured. It’s ok to share my story ☺️

Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I have had two labours, currently 34 weeks with third. Went into labour at 41 weeks with both previous babies. Contractions for me felt just like period cramps to begin with, then all-encompassing pain while in transition. But when I reached the point of beginning to cry, my midwife knew it was time to start pushing 😊 so it's good to know that when you feel it's becoming unbearable, you're just about done.

This video was very helpful. I delivered my first at 35 weeks. Had a rapid birth, no epidural. I was puking the entire time I was in labor. I started having contractions at a out 1:45. Finally went to the hospital around 5am. The nurses were not very attentive bc they assumed I would be in labor for hours since it was a first delivery. My mom had to leave the room twice to go get them to come check me bc my contractions were so close. Well they checked me at like 6:55ish and had to run and get the doctor. I started pushing at 7am my son was out at 7:03. It was not a very good experience and nothing went according to my birth plan but I love my son he was worth all the mess. I am now 33 weeks with #2 and I am really hoping I get an epidural this time around. I am not about that unmedicated delivery life. Hats off to moms who are, but that ain't for me.

Having panic attacks while giving birth, some girl told me it was so easy and she hardly felt any pain, I’ve heard another girl say she felt her body completely numb and only felt a lot of pain at the end etc etc. so I know it’s different for everyone. Hi dear, based on what many suggest pregnancy yoga and daily walk helps your mind and body to get stronger and ready so just try it as it also helps you with breathing better. I recommend reading Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. There are many birth stories in there that have made me feel so empowered reading them, and has taken away fear of giving birth. Good luck! You’ll do great! You were made for this!

I gave birth 37 +7 weeks into pregnancy. It started as feeling constipated, I even tried to poop that morning. Hours later, I realized it was labor contractions when I noticed a pattern. When I timed it, the contractions were 2 minutes apart. It doesn't feel that painful though, I even managed to walk to the ER and fill up the forms. The nurses said I was already 6cm dilated by that time. The worst pain came after my water broke while in the ER. That's when they wheeled me into the delivery room. The contraction pain is so strong that my body automatically pushes the baby out. I can't stop it. I had epidural and I can vaguely remember the whole thing that happened during delivery. In the end, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy 👶🏻

My first experience I had to be induced at 41 weeks. I would have rather waited for him to come naturally. I had cervadil and as I progressed I started having contractions with no break in between at only 5 cm. I got an epidural which allowed me to rest and my cervix as well. My best advice is to relax relax RELAX!! Get in the zone and everything will go just fine. I'm currently 35 weeks with baby girl. Where's all the 2 under 2 moms shows some love!!

Currently 35 weeks pregnant with my 3rd, this is a whole new experience to me, I just got checked for my blood pressure and everything came back perfect, with my first 2 I got induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia, this time around I might actually have a natural labor 😭😭😭😭 I’m so nervous and happy and excited I have no idea how to feel, I just pray my blood pressure doesn’t spike up out of nowhere again please pray for me, I pray all other mamas on here have safe and healthy deliveries 🥰💯♥️ Update: I was scheduled for an induction at 39w for 8pm 7.23.22 due to measuring small, I ended up experiencing contractions that morning at 2:30am on 7.23 I checked into the hospital at 4:30am, was 4cm dilated, I got pitocin given to me at 10am babygirl was born at 1:33pm measuring 19 1/2 inches & 6 1/2 pounds 🥰❤️

I’m 36 weeks pregnant with my 1st baby. 💙 So excited to meet him but somewhat scare cause don’t know what to expect. I been enjoying my pregnancy as much I can but sometimes it feels like I can’t anymore. Sleeping it’s getting a bit uncomfortable walking & doing stuff it’s getting hard. Two days ago I had a meltdown just thinking about labor my husband was there next to me. He told he that everything will be fine & it made me feel much better & felt asleep. I just hope for the best & for my newborn to be healthy & with no complications. I place my self on Jesus hands so everything goes well with my baby & me.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 For a healthy & calm delivery full of joy & excitement. I was induced in 2015 with my first baby. I never felt any pain/contractions. I didn’t receive epidural either. The pain I felt came when it was time to push. I started having moderate contractions the day before my scheduled C section (Thanksgiving 2018).
