I love your podcast but take this as a humble criticism from a fan. Navin always chimes in between people saying something, whether it be akash or the guest, and I'm not saying he does it on purpose. It's okay sometimes when it's a passionate discussion going on, but it's always better to let the guest do more talking, instead of abruptly stopping them and then they never return to the point the guest was speaking about

What Navin is saying about is already happening in Mangalore, first they attacked mosques and then the churches and this started when BJP first came in power in 1990s.

The biggest problem in todays political discourse is that most ppl choose a side and then conveniently put a blanket immunity/bias on his/her own side and a blanket prejudice/hatred against the other side. Ravish kumar, NTDV are as much a propaganda news as a navika or arnab n the likes. But to believe that NDTV is it and aaj tak is the demon is a typical urban narrow minded tunnel vision. Truth is, both are problematic in N no of ways. But we choose one. Another issue is most urban educated class (including myself for the longest time) believes that their image of INDIA is the real INDIA. And so they raise questions on indian politics but totally lack the nuance and the understanding that INDIA is not one kind of ppl. Many ppl want many things. In short all discourse is ineffective till the time it isnt participated by equal opportunity offenders/assholes/activists. Calling out wrong wherever it is, instead of choosing sides and being oblivious to reality and lacking nuance. Politics is the same everywhere. More or less.

Navika Kumar and her possè ran a long show on why Mahabharata should be considered Itihasā. There were a handful of people like Anand Ranganathan who can bring some degree of rationality but most go as far as peddling pseudoscience and spreading fake news to pander to Nationalistic sentiments. I don't remember NDTV abandoning facts or crucial details of an event and that too intentionally to run their "propaganda".

it's a journalists job to question the govt. There are no two sides here. Ravish/NDTV are doing journalism when they question the govt. They did it during Congress govt too. I don't remember Navika/Arnab asking one critical question to the govt. Arnab used to be a journalist when he questioned the govt during Congress rule, now he's just a lapdog.
