I have a 98 tahoe it was popping in the muffler I was told it was the distributor and fuel injectors know I'm getting told it's the camshaft 🤦any help thanks

This camshaft Doesn't it make the p0440 code appear? And how can I check the camshaft if it is good or bad?

It's unrelated. P0440 is evap system and the other is the top end/valve train issue. Remove the valve cover and inspect the camshaft for worn lobes and any visible damage/scored journals.

Sir i have kia forte 2012, which has loud tickling noise , i think it it cam shaft. Check engine light has code po0011. What can be the issue for that noise

I think Its the cam lobe that's worn out. Did you fix it ?

Can this cause the car to accelerate from 0 to 100mph very well, but as it reaches there it struggles to go beyond 100mph while maximum speed is 180mph????

Worn cam can definitely cause that scenario.

Most likely computer needs to be reprogrammed or there is a speed limiter.

@@Top5AutoRepairs initially i used to driving and everything is fine and could speed up to 180mph. Only to realize nowdays why can't go beyond 100mph. I dont know what is going wrong with it.

sounds like a starvation of fuel. Check fuel filter dirty injectors, or if it’s a carburettor could be some sort of blockage. Even a blocked air cleaner. vacuum pipe leakage any number of things. Camshaft issues is not that common.

Chevy Tahoe 2011 5.3 So I replaced my lifters but not my valve gasket seals/ any seals in general besides the exhaust manifold gasket and the gasket that the intake manifold sits on, anyways I put it back together and now have 3 misfires, my headass replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires to try and fix the misfires, after watching this I would assume it’s due to the low oil pressure from not replacing the valve cover seals, and the 4 seals on top (small circle ones) I have just taken it apart to replace the seals, any other advice on what else I should replace while it’s apart (not deleting the afm bc I’m not that confident in doing that yet)

I have a 2007 Mercedes ml350 that has a random misfire jumping around. Also different cylinder misfires and lean on banks 1 and 2. Changed plugs and coils. Also changed one valve cover that was leaking oil and pvc vent valve. Still has misfire rough idle. Could bad cam plugs cause this misfire and lean condition?

I've noticed other valve cover was not leaking around seals but was leaking around the big and small cam plugs
