This is the most hauntingly beautiful, heartwrenching, powerfully emotional song of all time. The first time I heard it was the first time a song had ever brought tears to my eyes to accompany the goosebumps. It had such an impact on me that it was damn near a spiritual experience, and it deeply inspired the direction I'm taking in some of my instrumental music. I am almost certain that there will never be another song that dethrones this as my favorite song of all time.

I was lucky enough to see them live. It was only a few days after () came out and they played the Ogden in Denver. It was a snowy / rainy night (perfect mood weather) and when they played this song people sat down - like we couldn't believe what what were hearing and seeing and it had an effect on people that I can't even explain. People were in tears and after they left the stage people just sat on the floor silent and weeping because I think we all realized that if there is a God that would be as close to God as we'll ever get in this life. And I wasn't high or drunk or anything, the music literally transcended fucking time and space and we lived this song and that whole night. I am so lucky to have seen them and experienced this.

Me too. I've seen them 4 x now and every concert I transcend into something different. I'm not a crazy person. I never expected a band to change my being the way that Sigur Ros does. Live concerts with them is a drug-induced bliss that is indescribable. I've never taken heroin but from what it's described as your first high, I felt it. 100% sober.

Even though I've seen their full set several times, I would pay full price to just watch this one performed... even over my other favorite bands full sets. An unbelievably ridiculous masterpiece that is head and shoulders above anything else I have ever witnessed. Words do no justice, only causes me to ramble, ramble.

Hey, man. I'm a huge fan of Sigur Rós myself and have seen them live several times. This might seem like an odd question but how do you feel about Devin Townsend's "Deadhead"? It's a completely different genre, I know, but much like Sigur Rós' music, "Deadhead" does something to me on a molecular level and I'm really interest to know how it makes you feel. Cheers.
