@@Yanser234 Hahaha yeah it's been a sort of trend I guess on TikTok? It started with someone posting their AU Art of a deadly and creepy infection of the MLP world. It's been copied over into tons of other fandoms including the Sonic the Hedgehog and even the NFL to name a few. A lot of the videos used this song to sort of create an uneasy feeling.

Like you say, this song can evoke a wide array of feelings for some reason. Depending on how you look at it, it can sound sad, lonely, like "death" But you can definitely also find some hope in there, like everything will become better somehow?

@@Yanser234 that's exactly what I get from this song, there isn't just the eerie ethereal pitch of angelic singing in warped and reverse, sounding like death as you're carried by the valkyries for the last voyage into the beyond. but there's also the triumphant swells in the music, it's like being born again, it ebbs and dips sometimes swirling in what feels like the oblivion but then there's the lead as it comes swinging back and up, the vocals becoming heavenly, like seeing the clouds part to expose the face of the sun part just as you reach the top of the mountain, or maybe once you've reached end of the long staircase rising into the cosmos. and as you focus on the nebulas, the sparking memories flashing for a moment, the pain, the confusion, the despair, the sadness, the loneliness, the happiness, the beauty, the strength, and the warmth. its like you come to see the miracle of being alive, the miracle of knowing wisdom, and the hope in all of it. that despite the lowly dips, treading inches from death in our hearts, we can still smile and appreciate all that we love and bring with us in our souls, maybe not for a better tomorrow or an easier path but just to actualize who we are as human beings, both light and shadow, to see the truth unblinded.

For me, this song isn't death, but what happens after. Empty and rotten. Bugs through flesh that no longer belongs to you. The forest digests you. Fungi and maggots. A starving animal survives another day, stumbling upon the carcass. A ray of sun hits your face, but you will never feel it. Your body is no longer you. You have ended, as everything does eventually. And once your body's gone, the dirt below will be richer for it, and new grasses will grow in your place. New life, occupying the same physical space where you once were. That same ray of sunshine hits nothing but dirt and plant matter now. You were never gonna feel it, anyway.
