The passing of my mother completely changed how I listen to Vaka. When I got to see them again after 6 years and they opened with Vaka, I was drenched in tears. Completely beautiful

I saw them do this set in Philadelphia recently, and it was one of the absolute best shows I've seen in my entire life.. and that's out of very many shows! I knew they'd be great, but I had no idea the impression they'd make, how much they'd move and inspire me.. The sound clarity was absolutely pristine, so dynamic. I was dying to relive it for many days after, but hard as it was to accept, I wasn't able to travel to see them again on short notice. Finding your recording is a tiny miracle for me. I was getting choked up within seconds of it starting to play. I am so grateful to have found this, and I can't thank you enough for recording and posting! It means so much 🙏

Some of these orchestral arrangements are as good as the original songs. Some are even better (e.g. Álafoss my personal favorite)

Haha yeah, the buildup and when Jónsi reaches those final high notes on Vaka, words cannot describe the feeling hearing it live. That was the one song I had to break form and try to film Jónsi, caught him for a brief moment.
