He is using a "munnharpe" which is a small metal instrument. I have never seen one so i don't know you play it.

@@CarpetHater You have to pluck its metal tongue which causes the air in mouth and throat to vibrate. If you change the shape of mouth- and/or throat cavity you can emphasize the spectral overtones of the base frequency to play melodies or different effects.

@@CarpetHater PS: "munnharpe" is the name of the norwegian variety. The english term is "jew's harp" or (actually incorrect) "jaw harp" - the instrument is spread over eurasia and known under 1000 different names, like khomus (jakutian), doromb (hungarian), drymba (ukrainian), maultrommel (austrian/german), morchang (indian), vargan (russian), kubyz/qopus (turkic), aman khuur (mongolian), koukin (japanese) 😅

@@kai_plays_khomus "Munnharpe" literally means "mouth harp".

@@dan74695 Thanks. I'm well aware about this as my comment might imply. That's why I translated it to its english name jew's harp. Jew's harp fanatics as myself use the local names to refer to a specific local style. If I use "munnharpe" in an english text any player will know that I'm referring to a harp with a tongue clamped with a wedge and modelled according to harps from Setesdal or Telemark.
