I really thank you so much for making this video for further study, but I apologize for the inconvenience in this show, I really do not like to put the flexible join on over there, because we can not turn off the water from the discharger from the delivery pipe when there is a problem with this flexible. thank you !

thanks for the informative data. would anybody explain about slope of the pipe at suction area for transfering fluid from lower height and from tank to avoid air pocket formation.

Buen día, una consulta. ¿Cuáles serían la consecuencia en la bomba, si la reducción excéntrica la parte recta la pongo hacia abajo? Teniendo en consideración que sea de succión positiva.

All our pumps in our timber treatment plant have oneway valves fitted, are they really necessary? Are they better on the inflow or outflow of a pump?

Why you are not using flexible joint at suction line?

I have a question: Why eccentric reducer can make avoid air pocket formation? Thanks a lot

Interesting no mention of checking for pipe strain induced stress on the pump casing or electric motor soft foot. Both big contributors to vibration.

How check valve prevent water hummer ? Ckeck valve creates water hummer .
@redakounbi71445 жыл бұрын
check valve prevents the back flow of relatively high pressurized liquid to the pump in the discharge line so that the impellers stay safe .

Still don't get it why the eccentric reducer has to be "upside down"? See this all the time... now even in this video. You would think that the reducer should go with the slope. Not against it.
@TheRealFOSFOR7 жыл бұрын
At 2:40 it could/should be upside down in my opinion.
@al1517 жыл бұрын
The purpose of the eccentric reducer for being upside down is to prevent trapped air. Lets assume you put the reducer slope section up, now put a straight line following the upstream flow pipe diameter. That triangle space above the reducer will trap air and other gasses and creates bubbles in the liquid. You are pretty much disturbing the flow. On a centrifugal pump, the last thing you want to have is bubbles on the suction side eye socket. Those bubbles will burst on the impeller vains with supersonic velocities causing damage to the impeller. This is called cavitation.
@TheRealFOSFOR7 жыл бұрын
So the fact that the pipe is at an upward angle doesn't let air escape? Well.. I guess not if there is nowhere for the air to escape to x) unless there is a bleeder valve of some sort I suppose.
@al1517 жыл бұрын
You always assume even with the incline the pipe is full of liquid all the way to the inside diameter wall. Bleeder valves are typically used if you are dealing with hot liquids and heatexchanger piping. Honestly I don't see any reason not to use a bleeder valve on the suction side of any pump piping.
