Sir, I have one doubt, as u said STP works only on swiches so if we have enabled trunk VLAN on a particular port then the last criteria in selection of root port is using port number but in case of vlan port remains the same, so how do u resolve tie breaking here.

In stp root bridge switch (sw1) is down suddenly ? Then second highest priority(sw2) switch will elect as root bridge right again Sw1(lowest Mac switch) will up , again stp election will starts right . So now again process will start it is time being ..How we overcome this issue please tell me?
