Sikkim Diaries - Part 1 | Silk Route | Sillery Gaon and Zuluk | aritragraphy

On April 2016 we embarked to a tour to Silk route to be mesmerized by the beauty of East Sikkim. Little did we know that we were in for a treat on later part of our tour.
Our plan was NJP - Sillery Gaon - Zuluk - Gnathang Valley - Kupup Lake - Tsongmo Lake - Gangtok. However, we met with heavy rains on day 2 of our trip in Zuluk and an unexpected amount of snow in Gnathang Valley. It was such that we couldn't complete the circuit via Kupup and Tsongmo since chains for car tyres were also not available. After Gnathang we had to return to Gantok via Zuluk.
The whitewash snow in Gnathang Valley overshadowed our sadness of half of our trip and no Kanchenjunga view throughout the trip.
