This was amazing. I am not Native American and I don’t understand the significance, but the love and honor plus the emotions expressed in the dance always leaves me speechless …I hope to one day see a pow wow in person .. much love and respect to you all 🧡

Originated in the Great Plains region: the dancers were called upon to a place where feast and celebration were to take place. They would stomp down the grass to the drums while blessing the area/ground. That's how it was explained to me by my elders.

Very moving, and I love the individual styles of the dancers. I could never pick just one though. They all have merit. Thanks for sharing ! 👍 🇨🇦 ✌️

Totally like the big graphic bear & paws design, really catches the eye!!! A number of the young men have big graphic designs that totally attract the eye even from the other side of the arena! Must be the latest move forward! The big breath plumes in the spreaders totally stand out also!

How Beautiful. I traveled to South Dakota about 25 to 30 years ago and attended a Celebration of the Lakota Warriors. That was a very spiritual week at the Pineridge Reservation. I will never forget the people I met that Beautiful Week they are forever held in my heart with the highest respect and admiration. Thank You everyone I was so blessed to have the opportunity to meet you and attend the ceremonies with my very good friend of many years Mr Carl Brooks from the New York and Seneca Reservation. God Bless his sweet soul I really miss you. Elizabeth Forsythe STL Mo.
