@@kobked-x But long distant thrusting weapons travel faster then slashing weapon I think. how you think the Japanese were in love the idea using long distance weapons like spears and long katanas. i want to see in action how he would handle it

@@hotpopcorncake the japanese martial arts like all martial arts improve when they meet new adversaries, like when the Japanese fought with the Mongols the first time, the Mongols were actually just bypassing their calvary tactics. The people of Nusantara which includes the Malays of Malaysia, Singapura, Brunei; the Javanese of Indonesia; the filipinos of Philippines where Silat, Pencak Silat, Kali evolved has golok (machete) and tombak (spears) which were used in jungle environment and completely different from the Japanese environment where katana and the yari was used. I can say in the old south east asia jungle environment the japanese style katana and yari may not be effective. But the only time we could have imagined they collided in war which was recorded, guns were already prevalent. The only thing we can actually try to find about them meeting each other and engaging in warfare maybe only seafaring situtions as both culture had pirates. So we can only compare it now where the art is there but the people practicing it mostly have mellowed down with no killing intent. Just appreciate what is shown.

@@taekwon-dowhacky3322 well in most Civilized nations owning Glock as you say is not permitted or it is very hard to obtain a licence and in no way can the average person walk around with one. that said, one can't walk around with a machete either but, a knife or longer weapon is much more readily available.
