Dame Mae Fishman, a rising star in the silent film era, was a force to be reckoned with. Born at the turn of the 20th century, she was one of the earliest female figures to dominate the silver screen. Her talent caught the eye of Charlie Chaplin and Mabel Normand, who became her close friends. They spent countless hours together, sharing laughs and refining their craft. Her performances were so compelling that she was honored in both Germany and the United States. She even earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Despite the hurdles, Dame Mae Fishman refused to fade into oblivion. She pushed through, making her last film in 1939 before retiring from the big screen. Unfortunately, only seven of her silent films have survived the test of time. But those that remain serve as a reminder of her exceptional talent.

I truly cherish these beautiful women, and given the poor quality of early film, we never saw the fine details brought forth with computer restoration and animation. They really do come alive, and tell us silently the beauty they possessed, and invite us to watch their movies. But time moves on, and the chances are slim, that we'll ever get that chance.... Thank You for the work involved in bringing them to us, a very solemn tribute.

These are the two most amazing pieces of film i have ever seen. I love the female actresses from the silent era. Lillian Gish and Bessie Love are my two favourites. So beautiful

If they ever did a film of the life story of Blanche Mehaffey, Drew Barrymore should play her. The resemblance is uncanny!

These human beings, they are beautiful to behold. All human beings are beautiful to behold. These human beings lived before we live! They saw things, witnessed events,as do we. But they saw the things that is now our history, lest we forget those events that were the previous century. We can only hope that the future remembers all of us in the same light. Will we,also,be beautiful?

I am a photographer and appreciate the artistry of these portraits from a bygone era. However, the AI animation is unnatural and unnecessary, and a bit creepy, in my opinion. The creative artistry of Mr. Witzel, in its original format speaks for itself.
