I've done it several times on 3-4 hour flights.... and I didn't know it was "a thing" as this was years ago. I'll go one step further, I've done TAs without getting up to use the restroom once, and yes, I had the aisle seat. TBH, it's freeing to not be controlled by your devices or having to watch some junk TV show to pass time.
