I've wanted to learn silent hill speedruns for fun for a while now. (I'm mainly a final fantasy runner). so it's interesting to see the movement tech is a lot more....hardcore per say. while ff has some movement tech, the movement takes a back seat to stuff like battles - prep etc. just really a thought out loud tbh

For some reason, it seems my copy of SH2 PC is different - or I've set it up poorly. My Quick-save button works (mapped to Z on keyboard, and RB on gamepad), but I have not been able to get the text-storage working. I've tried a number of times and with different text places (car window, gate, etc) and no matter what it seems I can only save OR get the text, but never both. When I have the text on-screen, I'm unable to save, and when I'm saving, I'm unable to get the text on screen at all. I've also been having issues with the camera movement, but that's a more nebulous problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using the PC Director's Cut version of SH2 directed by Creature Labs (I suspect it's the European version but I don't know for sure). Edit: Worth noting I use an Xbox One controller via Micro USB.

i dont understand how your killing the bosses in one hit. i am playing the HD versions if that matters but also on easy and they still take several shotgun shots to put down.

The shotgun has a minimum distance for maximum damage, get as close as you can to provide maximum damage.

Do these strats apply to the ps2 edition of the game? I'm looking to practice this but with my limited budget and the incredibly expensive copies of the game online, i'm stuck with my ps2 roms/copies of the game. I'm assuming most should work

PS2 doesn't have the Quick Save button, which is needed for many glitches/skips
