A decade after first playing this game through and I'm still shocked. That elevator bit at the end with not having to drop those two items? I NEVER REALIZED...thank gods for speedruns tbh Also interesting to note that they get the "good" ending via speedrun. I'd have thought they'd get the water one.

Yeah the announcer is having some issues, but reading out loud is hard, and he was probably rather nervous. Sure he probably should think about it before announcing for something again, but he did alright.

Just a question about SH2, I always get 5 endings and after the 6th ending I am within the "24hourlimit" I try to google why the ending letters indicated at the saves (on the right) "resets" when it is past 24 hours I cant figure it out. and how can you play as Maria?

Mastatduck You don't get it. Entertainment value is vital a fuck for an event such as GDQ in order to get their donations. If people dont like what they see they wont watch the event, if they dont watch the event they wont learn about the cause which in turn wont make them donate. He was a huge drag for everything GDQ stood for and its possible that they could have lost out on a huge sum of donations because of him. If your one job is to be a voice, then fucking learn to talk properly.

+ItsTheBibby Okay, a few things. One, if you listen to their comments, this was run late at night. Dude is probably tired. Even if he isn't, the crew that does GDQ are all volunteers. Announcers included. This isn't his 'job.' This is something he's doing to help out a cause. Heck, he might not have even volunteered to be an announcer. He might have been some techie and they ran out of people to announce. He might have a speech impediment. You have no idea what the circumstances are. Not everyone has the balls to step up to the mic and talk on stream like that and now he's getting raked over the coals because he 'wasn't good enough.' Two, if you're watching GDQ, you probably already know what its all about and you're probably more interested in the speedrun than the announcements. I'd much rather hear commentary from the couch than hear any donation announcements and comments. You can't prove that he lost the stream donations any more than I can prove that he didn't. But I really doubt it was that big of deal to people who were actually interested in donating. Hell, they might've even gotten extra from people being assholes trying to get the announcer to say their names/comments right. Rude comments that wouldn't make it past the screening to be read. Three, if the announcer was really bad enough to chase away a few people, then so be it. You can't please everyone and if it was that easy to send them packing, I doubt donations would have been forthcoming.

As far as i know, the pc version of SH2 can be hacked to get higher resolution, even 720p. Does somebody know why they didn't they used it in this particulary run? Or is it a speedrun custom?
