Spoiler for the game : Like most people, James is complex and nuanced. He is someone who has been pushed to his limits by things beyond his control, who did his best for three years, and who ultimately made a decision with irreversible consequences. He is described as gentle, kind, caring, and loving. He is attentive, worries about others, and does everything he can for people. He is also someone who gets frustrated easily, who gets angry quickly, and who tends to lose his temper from time to time. He killed Mary for several reasons. It wasn’t just that he wanted her suffering to end, and it wasn’t just that he selfishly wanted his life back. It was a mix of many deeply complex emotions that led him to do this. He had good intentions, selfish intentions, and everything in between. And to me, that doesn’t make him a bad person. It makes him a human being in his rawest form. So I think James deserves to live his life as he sees fit. He made a mistake. And making two deaths instead of one would be pointless in this context. The best thing he can do is fulfill his wife’s last wishes, adopt Laura, and try every day to become a better person.

You level empathy is truly heartwarming. Silent Hill games tackle some very real horror. Especially this one in particular. This was an incredible playthrough. I was gonna suggest you play the first one but to my absolute delight, i was notified that you have started it. I am very excited to watch you playthrough that blocky gem

Ive watched many reactions of the game, because its my favourite one of all time. Seeing you so emotional with it says it all. As you sayd, Horror doesnt need to be gross, horror meant to be beautiful, in some way! I think this playthrough will last in your mind forever and i love this fact! 💌

I know it's sad and devastating, but I think it's quite beautiful, poetic even. And the official japanese novel of the game also chose 'In Water' ending so...

The original has been my favorite game since I've played it. I've finished the remake today and I'm now watching some reactions. After crying like crazy during my playthrough, I found myself crying along with you as well. I don't know if you'll ever have the time or desire to, but please consider checking the original as well. I think this is an incredible game, worthy of the name it bears and I'm proud that my favorite game has such an amazing remake, but some things just hit different in the original (like the delivery of Mary's final corridor dialogue + full letter reading; no matter how many times I hear them, they break my heart). The original also has a couple of details (one in the videotape, for example) that I believe add even some extra layers of complexity to situation. Anyway, great playthrough and thanks for keeping it up even though it was hard at times. Glad you enjoyed the game and found it beautiful.

While i do think that James probably doesn't "deserve" to leave Silent Hill, i think the whole point is about forgiveness. I think most people probably have the idea that forgiveness can only happen after you receive a "proper" punishment for any sin you may have committed, but i have always wondered if it can be called TRUE forgiveness if you have to get punished to get it. Maybe TRUE forgiveness is about letting things go and going forward in life. Maybe the only thing that should be required to be forgiven from your sins is to regret and feel TRULY sorry about what you've done, and i think that James feels REALLY bad about what he did. Life is complicated and confusing... but there is a certain beauty in that sometimes.

I'll just put that out there, i think that james was on the verge of suicide & his mind created the whole silent hill ordeal to stop him from doing that, by giving him a purpose of finding his wife & providing him with a fake version of Maria, all worked in harmony as a final attempt to divert james guilt & want for suicide, by (depending on endings u get) giving him closure (leave ending), giving him a fantasy (maria ending) or failing all together & ending up with (in water ending). Either way, he never got to meet the real mary, & the letter is also made up just to give him purpose & by the end closure, that he so desperately needed !

Here watchin for 1st time. Thought "Hey,its RE3 Jill Valentine playin SilentHill2Remake!" Then started thinking how you describe everything you see and interract with. Cute. At least its interresting to see. But at 3:19 ,askin what was the deal with Pyramidhead and "why does he have a pyramid for a head?" I lost it laughing almost in tears with realisation after all these years: this girl is right! Why does Pyramidhead have a pyramide for a head?! Existential crisis ensued.😅 Thanks for that,miss! Now to watch the rest of the video...
@LolkwieАй бұрын
I don’t know if you actually want the reason for the pyramid, but to put it simply, it’s supposed to make the “persons” head inside always face downwards, as a way to symbolize guilt and sadness, which is pretty relevant when it comes to James

Low health most of the game, excesive violence towards the monsters, looking at angelas knife, hearing the hallway coversation. Those are the common variable to get the Water ending

You have a really soothing voice that reminds me a lot of Jennifer Tally. You share a very similar persona and voice quality! You should definitely consider pursuing acting as a career; I'm sure you'll be noticed.

There is not a "canon" ending.

@@federicomachado811 Then explain why James and Mary went missing on a trip to Silent hill? Frank (James father) mentioned it in SH4.
@edren9137Ай бұрын
@@7RicolmE7I haven't played Silent Hill 4 but i do remember someone once told me that in one of the games it's mentioned that James was never seen again, however, James' "disappearance" might have been because it would be too risky to return home after killing his wife. James could easily get caught and it would be really hard to explain Mary's death since she seems to have been under his care before she passed.
@federicomachado811Ай бұрын
@@7RicolmE7 Because whether he got out of silent hill or not he still killed his wife, so he would be in hiding? Think for a second.
