I hated those damn ghosts following you through every level. That's what I remember most about this game. I hate that sense of urgency in a game. I like to take my time, explore, take in the atmosphere. Hard to do that in this one.

When Henry says "Are you okay?" to Cynthia when she's dying, I'm like "Dude! She's! Blood! Dead! Cuts... DEATH! BLEEDING! Seriously?! How do you think she is?!" XD

As soon as you understand Henry's personality, you realize that he's being compassionate to Cynthia. He knows that she's dying and that world wasn't only a dream, as that dream seems so real as he stated before. That's why when he found her dying on the floor, he tried to make her feel better by telling her "are you ok?" and "it's just a dream", because she believed in that. With Eileen was different, when he found her hurt badly on the floor at 36:54, he's got frustrated instead of being compassionate, because at that point he knew a lot about what was happening and Eileen was his love interest. He knew that Eileen was certainly going to die and just collapsed...You can feel how sad he's got at 1:08:42 when he heard abouth her death. He reacted pretty different with Cynthia :)

The problem is, what he sees through the peephole is not the actual reality beyond the door he is currently banging on. On the other side is another dimension then what you would say that we live in (basically the reality where no monsters or strange things happen would be our reality).

Wow, you got the WORST, most disappointing ending of the game. That was the ending that made you feel like the 2hrs+ you spent on it was a complete waste of time because the ending puts you right back where you started - still stuck in that room.

Totally agree. Silent hill 2 was just so emotional and meaningful to me, it has some good memories. But silent hill 4, god I've never been so afraid to turn on the ps2, it's by far the scariest game I've played, but that made it so much fun. This was just so unique to me. My favorite.

There's four endings. Great, Good, Bad and Worst. Great and good are similar and bad and worst are similar. Eileen dies in bad and worst although it's better if she dies.

To get the good ensing, best if you don't fight Walter till you get the four spears on each side first before beginning to fight him. You need 6 things. The anbiloco cord first item, the pick ax of despair, and 4 strong healing items. Also get 1 extra healing item when he cheats and shoots you. scramble up fast, heal fast, then get the 4 spears to the right starting from the far right to the middle and stab away with the 4 spears. Then same to the left. Then add the anbiloco cord, wait for Walter to get up and wait till he is about to attack you, then before he is about to hit you, after charging your weapon hit him good, then keep at it every time timing it out perfectly. In 11 hits on charge and random attacks after when you can, he Will die and you will get the good ending.

The "Otherworld" associated with Silent Hill - the version of reality in which everything is rusted and the monsters are the most abundant - is the reality in which the laws of physics - and life and death for that matter - don't necessarily always apply. This is because certain denizens of Silent Hill known as The Order would perform rituals and dark spells which in turn linked our own reality to an alternate, darker reality.

It would have been much better if you had included the papers, notes and journals. The real story lies in all the random notes and journals you find. It makes you want to guess the ending but you still end up surprised. Just the cutscenes make me want to play all over again and connect all the Silent Hill stories together like how 2 & 4 and 1 & 3 link together.

The biggest mistake was naming this game as silent Hill for profit with the name...instead of just the room as was meant to be. It would please 100% of the players if it wasn't for that. Is a horror game that owes nothing to silent Hill , very good in its way with same masterpiece horror but is not silent hill
