Old horror stuff is some of my favourite things for you to stream, always love to see it. I've been watching Clock Tower lately and while it's not as drastic as other content creators it is nice to see how things improved over the years

Fun fact: you can play the whole game with knife only. The first enemy is harder to kill then most bosses. A silent hill speedrunner by the name of Punchy tested this.

I don't know if you realize/get told later but a few things I feel like mentioning. 1: if you lower your gun with 0 ammo, it is reloaded automatically, I love this feature a lot. 2: the School puzzles that seemed disconnected. You can find a note that says stuff like 11:15 Science, 2:30 Music or something. When you examine the tower it says a time, hinting which class you should check, and then inserting a medallion makes the time change.

My favorite fact about the game was that fog was added to the to hide the low render distance. It wasn't for the ominosity. Doing so made the game way more spooky and playing your first time could make you a little disoriented. Also, I hate the static sound but that also made the game creepy.

turning off the flashlight and radio help in both modes to keep enemies from noticing you as long as you walk and dont touch them but is FAR better in hard mode. The little shadow babies once they disappear from a room you are in when you leave and comeback it summons the knife wielding children.

The school you entered at 34:24, Midwich Elementary School, is actually a map in another game called Dead by Daylight and also has some playable characters from the series.

bought the first 3 games like.. 4 years ago at this point. they were a blast, hope you enjoy them! SH 1 was my favorite

Chat seems misleading about a few things. While a number of enemies can find you through other means, most of the regular grunts aren't able to find you with the light off unless you bump them, especially for this stage of the game And while the Split Head boss takes a lot of 2:12:27 extra damage if you shoot into the open maw, it is not necessary for a kill

NO! Silent Hill 2 is really overrated due to its story but drops the horror elements which defined Silent Hill 1 and 3.

Silent Hill is much better as a pure game, and its open ended storytelling and writing has a rare degree of restraint for the genre that I honestly respect. It never degrades into vague for the sake of vague nonsense nor feels the need to explain things just to explain them either. I honestly think its writing is underappreciated, despite some of the obvious problems in localization - and the limits of its voice acting. Silent Hill 2 is very good as well though. I love the refinements to how the game approaches its puzzles, and its wonderful, sad character writing. Even if it comes at the expense of becoming a more linear game, and having far simpler yet somehow jankier combat.
