This is the song that got me into Bodom and Finnish melodeath. Still a top-tier song and album.

Absolutely, such a classic album. Honestly not the best production from COB, but there’s something charming about the sound of it. Maybe it’s nostalgia. And the songs are all killer no filler 🤘

I first heard Bodom on a rock band game😂. Are you dead yet was one of my most played songs on drums.

Do you have other Finnish melodeath bands you would recommend? Children of Bodom is one of my favorite bands, but for some reason I’ve never explored this music genre further!
@SorooshMhs9 ай бұрын
@@Ogilla Amorphis is pretty good! They aren’t death metal anymore but still very melodic and awesome. I’ve heard Wintersun is also pretty good. Insomnium as well

Killer take 🔥🔥 Jaska Raatikainen does not get enough credit for his drumming in CoB..
@peteredwards23189 ай бұрын
Agreed. Tight as a newts butthole, clean as a whistle, and always so fun to listen to. Much under appreciated. Bodom were the first band I ever went to see live, and his live drums were as immense and tidy as his studio sound.

Agreed! I feel Alexi doesn't get enough credit either.

Thank you! Jaska was always awesome and a truly kind hearted human. This brings back memories. Back in 1997, when their first single came out Jaska brought it to our school's fine arts evening at Tapiola, where me and my pall were blasting metal in the math class. Obviously we played that thing there and then with all our school's metalheads drinking beer in the black out class.
