Cynthia Lin Music hi Cynthia. I don’t own a ukulele but is there such thing as an upchuck? Because there is a down chuck.

I'm not sure that I strum my uke correctly. I know you've covered it before, but I still can't seem to get the right lovely sound. Do you use your nails or the pads of your fingers? And thumb or first finger. When I've tried with a pick, it slows me down soooo much. So any tips for that? Thanks!! LOVE your content!

Thanks Cynthia. Lovely video as always! Happy Christmas to you and your family too. Please would you make a couple more videos for banjolele beginners? I know that the videos all apply to banjolele but something specific to the instrument, to learn to match the sound and playing style, would be great. Thanks Steve. xx

Any chance of you ever showing a side shot for beginners? I have watched a number of vids and found that my wrist was bent unnaturally. It hurt, so I start playing in front of a mirror and that improved my stance. I’ve found it best to hold my elbow close to my waist but watching you, your elbow is a fair bit away from your body (and yet your wrist is clearly in the right position). If you took an occasional shot of the Uke from the side it would help us beginners hugely.🙂

Tonight I received an Enya Soprano Ukulele it’s my very first. I’ve wanted to learn how to play for years however, this Uke is too small for me. I’m sending it back and would greatly appreciate a recommendation for a concert size. I’m on a budget since I’m just starting out. Should I become proficient Im positive I will spend much more! Any suggestions besides the Enya?
