Great video as always Joe. My copy just arrived on the doorstep. I will be reading the rules and looking for your play through video to get me going. This game looks to me like it is going to stay on my solo table for quite some time.

Thank you for this overview, it's greatly appreciated as this has caught my eye. Out of curiosity is it possible to play a campaign using IJN submarines?

Thanks, I do plan on doing some gameplay videos on this one but haven't gotten around to it yet. Soon, I hope. The game can only be played from the USN perspective, the IJN addition adds a bunch of Japanese ships but there's no way to actually play as the Japanese.

Do you think this game is overly complicated or are we just getting overwhelmed with all the components to the game? Love to see a playthrough.

I haven't finished the rule book yet, but from what I've read thus far, the individual mechanics don't seem too complex, but there is a lot going on and that may be where the overload comes into play. I never played the original but the rules were completely revamped so hopefully they're at least clear and the rule book, at 30 pages, isn't overly long. Oh, and I will be doing a playthrough. My guess is it'll be ready sometime next week.
