I know I said this before and I will say it again: If this story touches you, the best way to prevent it is, to have your free-roaming tom-cat neutered. If you know someone who has a free-roaming tom-cat, talk to them to have him neutered. This prolongs the life of your tom and prevents him from fathering more kittens that will grow up, suffer and perish under the most cruel circumstances.
