Great video! Was wondering if anyone has used paint pens with the cameo 4? If so, what were the results?

Great video and right to the point! Thanks! Hey, do you have any favorite pens that work great in this application? Some have grips on them that make fitting them correctly difficult. I really like the Sharpie gel pens but they often look a little more sketched than drawn because they are lightly touching the paper.

I like superb pens 🙂

My Silhouette Cameo 4 pen holder can sketch designs, but now it makes all of my sketch fonts look 2D instead of one line? Any ideas why?
@CaylinFourie2 күн бұрын
You’ll need to fill in the font. There are lots of videos on YT that explain how to fill in fonts. I’ll try make one soon 🙂

Do you need to use specific fonts to sketch or can you use any font? I thought I heard you can only use single line fonts
@CaylinFourie11 ай бұрын
Yes, there’ll be an issue with thicker fonts. Try using thin fonts made for sketching or just thin fonts in general

Why do CAMEO not have the tools fit in Slot #2. That way you would not have to pause.

Agree… I think the Cameo 5 now has that ability… but not everyone has a cameo 5 🙈

How did you do the code coloring to be able to do the sketch and cut at once. Could you please do a tutorial? Thanks

I’m having the issue where instead of a “o” looking like an “o” it’s coloring the whole thing in how do I edit to it not coloring in the middle. It’s not only with an “o” it’s with like most of my letters.

Great video! Are you not able to use the pen in one tool holder and the cutter in the other to avoid downtime and make it efficient

I don’t think so

Thank you for sharing tutorial. How do I save or transfer Canva design to use in Silhouette? I was able to download, PNG but entire image, not just writing. Maybe someone can help me, as I am not too tech savvy!! I am using free version. I want to be able to use pens & write as you did.

Click on the arrow at the top right hand side and you can select from the drop down menu different file formats

"the autoblade is meant to use with materials like vinyl... if you use it to cut paper. it will dull the blade faster because paper is made of wood fibers that are more abrasive" - this is what i read on forums.not sure the validity of it
@CaylinFourie10 ай бұрын
Personally, I’ve had my auto blade for about 2 years and I’ve cut many different materials, thick and thin, and my auto blade still works. Sure it’s not a brand new blade, and I do need to adjust some settings… but still works like a bomb. I guess it does boil down to how often it’s being used and yes material does matter. Some materials will dull the blade quicker…
