Loved your Curio 2 class I am still waiting for a Silhouette update to be able to use it with my mac and sonoma 14.1 update!!!

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! Do you, by chance, have a computer without Sonoma? In general, Sonoma is causing all kinds of issues, but they are not affecting all MAC users. In most cases, reverting to v4.4 554 has helped those experiencing issues, but there are a few special ones that it is not working for. Silhouette is working on it, but it may be a while. This usually happens after Apple updates their OS..... It's not just Silhouette software affected by it as well, other programs are encountering issues too.

I bought this machine to cut 2-3mm wood... I hope this wasn't a mistake! Love your videos!

It does not cut thick wood. If you want to cut wood, you need to look at a laser machine. While the Silhouette machines can possibly cut bold, broad shapes with the Kraft blades, it will take time, testing, and lots of materials. It does not cut intricate shapes or interior cuts well. Here are tips for the Kraft blade silhouette-secrets.com/2021/09/12/15-tips-for-the-silhouette-kraft-blades/

@@SilhouetteSecrets Thank you! I was hoping this would do the trick without shelling out over $1000.

Your videos are really awesome. Btw, when it comes on precision/intricate cuts, which is better? Cameo 5 or Siser Juliet?

Thank you! I think it really depends on the material you are cutting, the design, and the user. With Siser Juliet/Romeo, the user does have more control over the blade and setup. I've cut intricate on both Silhouette and Siser.

@@SilhouetteSecrets If they have the same price, what would you recommend? I'm few minutes away on getting Juliet but saw your cameo 5 videos. 😅

@moi-.-bicxo if you were already considering a Siser Juliet, then I'd probably go that route if you are planning to cut adhesive vinyl, htv, or cardstock. With the understanding that Siser software is just starting out and is growing. The machine itself is designed a bit different than a craft cutter, more like a professional cutting machine. I think users can learn both if they are willing to invest the time.

@@moi-.-bicxo if you do go the Siser route, I can help there too! Check out the Swift Creek Customs YT channel - that's where I put Siser machine info.
