That 196 cardigan is the bomb. I’ve done this slash technique with layers of cotton. Using a woven over a knit is genius!

That slicing technique is sometimes called chenille. Looks really cool when using a print for the top fabric.

Do the pants go to the waist or sit below the waist? Why the extra waist band, why not just fold the top to make a caseing?

The separate waist band gives a smoother look for the gathered waist. Much more control and a much better look. Folding over looks dated and older. Thanks for watching.
