LOL, at 6:17 mark you mention that "the other thing you don't want to do is leave it in the box". My shipment just got in 20 minutes ago and I have never done anything like this and leaving in the box felt really easy to do. But your encouragement at 6:17 has challenged me. I have the new cameo pro and can print and cut on 8.5x11 sheets, but when I go to the 12x24 or 24 inch mat...it will not read the registration marks...keep getting the dreaded "failed"...Is there a special way to have them read?

Hey can you mirror registration marks in silhouette cameo for sublimation stickers?

It's possible but I would not do that. I would mirror only the image and not the registration marks in Studio and do not mirror in the sublimation printer manager.

Omg i just open this a couple of days ago and i actually finished two color changing cups for my kids. Lol all i did was cut the vinyl and even made a mermaid by layering each vinyl...it was so much fun thank you for making this school and ebooks for this!! My kids loved the cups now all i have to do is seal it.. Lol was going to use brite tone for that!! Anyways again thanks for taking the time to do all this, your energy is amazing!!

Great and informative. Desperate question--I want to make a reusable stencil but for the life of me can't figure out how to have the completed stencil with all the inners attached to the outer edge of the letter--for example-the inside of the O or D so that it stays with the stencil and not with the outer part of the letter. I hope you understand. I just dont want to have to worry about losing those little pieces when reusing it. Do you have any idea how to do that Thx in advance, Christina

I cannot get the auto blade to work - it either doesn't cut at all or cuts all the way through. I have tested different settings but nothing works. I have inserted the blade several times to see if that was the problem, but doesn't work. Also when using a mat, do you put the vinyl all the way up to the top or just on the sticky grid lines? While doing my test cuts, I have cut through the mat. I have a Cameo 4.

What's the difference between 3 and 4 and4pro

The CAMEO 3 is the previous model. It's since discontinued. The CAMEO 4 allows for the use for the Rotary blade, Kraft Blades, and punch tool in the second carriage with in it's increased downward force. The CAMEO 4 vs the Pro - they are the same pretty much other than the CAMEO 4 is 12" wide and the Pro is 24" wide.

You won't be able to run a Silhouette machine off a Chromebook or Ipad. You need a computer.

Hi there! Without seeing it, it's hard to troubleshoot. You could try creating a very small offset that is easily selectable to see if you're able to grab it and select cut.

Take it one step at a time and I think you will do amazing. I went on line and started learning the software without the machine. I am more comfortable with the idea of using the machine now and do not feel so overwhelmed. When I buy my machine I will be in a more relaxed frame of mind to use it. I watched videos to trouble shoot potential problems in advance because I use this method in other areas of life. It usually helps. I am sure you will be happy you kept working at it.

Your blade probably isn't positioned correctly. And if you've been attempting to cut with the blade not working, you could have permanently damaged it. That's what happened to me. I attempted to get it working properly over the course of several months, and then I finally got it working properly, but it became obvious to me that the blade had been damaged due to the many incorrect attempts. So I bought a new blade and everything works fine.

Teresa, I learned by watching KZbin. Take a look at some videos and maybe join a group. Give yourself some time. Allow yourself to make mistakes and when it gets really challenging, walk away and then go back in a day or two. Before you know it, you’ll be doing it for family, friends and strangers. Have a good time with it 😊

Usually caused by the blade not being fully inserted into the carriage which prevents the blade depth from adjusting properly and often cutting too deep.
