Silicon Valley Bank 2022 - Financial Analysis: why did this bank go bust?

Silicon Valley Bank was a state-chartered commercial bank headquartered in Santa Clara, California that failed on March 10, 2023, with holdings now managed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. SVB was the 16th-largest bank in the United States and was the largest bank by deposits in Silicon Valley.

Hello Ted, also First Republic Bank was struggeling during last week - lost most of market cap., balance sheet of 176 B $. of Deposits vs. 28,3 B debt securities held-to-maturity and 166 B $ of loans - an analysis of the balance sheet as you have did very well and informative of SVB would be helpful as well for First Republic Bank - thank you
