I've heard of people being fired this way. Intercepted at the entrance when their card doesn't work. Hustled into a little office where their personal belongings await in a box. A few emasculating neutral words that mean "you're fired." A signature or two, a cold handshake, and then a guided walk out of the building. Just -69C.

How exactly can someone get fired from his own company? Can someome explain that to me, please?
@aratyal6 жыл бұрын
edmis90 there's a board of directors/major shareholders they can have a meeting of no confidence against the ceo and vote him out. They can hold an emergency meeting to vote him out. Where the majority of shareholders need to turn up. Anything anove 50 percent even 51 percent. And they can vote him out without him having to be there. Simple Majority against the minority.
@edmis906 жыл бұрын
But aren't they HIS workers because it's HIS company? This is honestly beyond me to comprehend as to how is that logical. :(
@aratyal6 жыл бұрын
edmis90 when he founded hooli lets say he had 100% in order to get funding and scale hes had to sell shares. So lets say there's 8 board members all with 7% percent in hooli shares. Equaling 56 percent overall and gavin belson owns 44 percent. He still owns the most sole shares. But if they were to gang up they would own the majority and its there choice. If they dont gang up and they look out for their independent interests gavin influences the board with his sole 44% all he needs is one more person to get to 51% and do what he wants. They in no means work for him. They own stake in his company and its gavins job to give them a return on their investment. And even with just 44 percent he owns the majority of sole shares so own the company
@aratyal6 жыл бұрын
edmis90 also lets say gavin doesnt give them what he wants. They then can threaten to sell their stock which will look like insider trading (dumping of stock that makes it seem lile the conpanies in crisis)causing hooli stock to crash and theyre monetary worth to lessen
