Silja Serenade Review | A 41 Hour Cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm and Back

I was on this ship at the end of July and had a promenade room on deck 11. It had 3 beds and a larger shower room. I only travelled to Stockholm but I found it to be comfortable and enjoyed the trip.

I like this ship alot, and it feels very modern despite being 33 years old. But I agree with you on the cabin toilets, they're very outdated and don't match with the rest of the ship's interior. Then again, it's only a short cruise and you propably won't be even using the bathroom that much.

There is also the problem than in ship construction cabins are generally premade as a single unit and the inserted in like a box in an ikea shelf. The opportunities for major changes afterwards are pretty limited, or at least it would not be easy.
