sericulture was known in india/ indus valley civilization as early as china, silk weaving was also known in india, as silk fibers have been discovered in india made of wild silk worms. indian silks have been discovered in tombs of central asia since 5th cen BC. pretty out dated info in the documentary

NHK Team, thank you very much for your documentation. You have nicely presented the Gandhara episode in Gilgit but not that of India. You have missed the information that the University was destroyed by the dirty Turky conqueror and they set on fire the Lalanda Universuty and it continued to brun for one month. Buddhism is still is a respected religion in India. But due to political power game the good and modest religion had been over thrown from India.

Isn't it a bit of digression - considering this is a series about the Silk Road. Kumbh Mela is probably a bit "off topic" for this series. Also, if they must talk about Hinduism - no matter how little, they should have researched it better. Half baked incorrect information is worse than no information.

These people are seriously delusional in regarding a 21 years old girl a goddes, or at least the conception of goddes is very different from the western conception, e.g. in the classical Greek Pantheon a goddes as least was immortal and had some superpowers.
