Silk Top Topper Review from Toss Hair Collection

If you haven’t noticed yet, I sort of have a love affair with this topper 😍
I wanted to give it a good while before I officially reviewed it to make sure I covered all my bases. I’m so grateful for Angie being so sweet to gift this one to me but I’m always committed to being 100% transparent and honest in every review I do so giving it time was crucial.
Just like any topper, there’s always going to be some give and take-meaning that in order to create the hair of my dreams, I’m going to have to put up with how much weight that brings...but I will say I haven’t come across any negative I couldn’t find a work around for.

@@lacie.rodriguez so far okay. I went to my stylist and she trimmed it, but it still needs some layers I think. There’s really no blending with my bio hair, so it doesn’t look cohesive to me. I will have to go back I’m sure within the next couple of weeks. I bought the LA Giselle and it’s really pretty. Now I just need to make some more adjustments. The part is my biggest concern right now. It’s the same area that you have addressed. When I store the piece when I’m not wearing it, I pin down that area on the dummy just for reinforcement. 🤷‍♀️

I love my silks but, I’ve only purchased from two different brands... I’m a welder to so super hot, super geared up with pp protection and my helmet.. the silk is actually still comfortable.. I have changed the front comb with a wider one, like almost forehead width, that helps with the sliding for me..

I’ve heard that about the wider combs! That’s a great idea to switch out the comb 🙌🏼 and that’s good to hear they’re not too hot. I started with mono tops so it’s quite a change to the silk tops and will take a little getting used to. Thanks for the tips!

Do you prefer this with the silk rather than the mono??? I remember you saying you liked the mono to give it more fluff at top. I have watched these hair topper videos for past 3 months. I tend to go back to your videos because of your honesty. I finally decided on a topper after watching this video. Of course, as my luck would have it, I can't just pick and order. I'll figure that out in the next few days. I'm scared to spend so much money, but like you say, it's just money. Almost half my savings lol but I really need something to help my self-esteem with my thinning hair. Like many women, my hair was always my best asset. Thank you for your video's because I don't know how I'd choose without them. I'm also appreciative that you once said nobody is going to be totally happy when they try their first topper until you tweak it n give it time etc...That definitely has prepared me to not expect miracle in the mail lol...but happy n excited still.

Hey! So I like both. I love the luscious feel of a silk topper. I don’t typically wear them on really hot days, but they’re my go-to for special occasions or if I am just wanting a little extra. My mono top are personally an easy day to day topper since they have less hair and is light weight. I wear both. ☺️

It can be dyed but only darker-not lighter. You also have to be very careful with the roots because the fabric the hair is tied onto can easily stain with dye so it’s best to get someone who has had experience with that to do it 👍🏼

Does this come with a lace front? I have lost about 2 inches at the top of my forehead (frontal fibrosing alopecia) and at my temples. I've never tried a topper before and am thinking I'll need one that glues?

You’re right! A glue on lace front is a great option! This one in particular doesn’t have a lace front option but check out www.silkorlace.com for a lace front topper. They are a marketplace for wigs and toppers so you can search through several company’s inventory to find a lace front 🙌🏼

Silk and lace are different materials for the cap of a topper. This one has a silk cap which makes the scalp look super realistic 👍🏼

I have one question. Do you have to worry about the closed wefting in the wind like the open wefting? 🤔 I've never bought a wig with wefting for that very reason because it's quite windy where I live 🌪

The wefting isn’t a problem in the wind at all! This piece is so super secure in the wind it’s astounding 🙌🏼
