Edit: but if you still want to use a Japanese word for goodbye: “Jana” kind of works. “Jana” means “see ya” as in “I’ll see you later”, so it’s not as dark as “sayonara” which is normally treated as a “final goodbye”.

Not only is this a great cover (and great chart and stage, good job) but like. Being able to really hear the vocals better makes ke appreciate the composition of the original so much more. Sturm has an issue sometimes where his intense instrumentals can kinda overpower his slightly less intense vocals, but this hits the balance well enough that you can really really hear how beautiful the vocals are.

here's my take as someone who lowkey kins sayori and likes to write poem and song parodies MY FRIEND, MY HOME . . . I'LL FIND- . . -MY WAY TO YOU. Since sayori is self aware now like how monika use to be yada yada idk i didnt transition the second verse to the your world part good enough... i also didnt want to let go 'lines of code' so maybe i couldve done better if i wasnt atatched to a single line 😭 also also yeah i made the subject be about player instead of monika bc i dont think it *has* to be monika..? in the og mod, himself was singing to herself even though he was battling boyfriend bc that was the most important thing to him or smth whatever so i did the same for sayori i dont think she gaf abt monika aside from a bit of resentment and grudge as long as she doesnt get in her way of gaining player's love
