The Pied Piper Story: It plays in the small town of Hamelin in the year of 1284 (Middle Ages). The small town had a rat infestation. Then one day, a piper dressed with multicolored cloathing appeared in the city and claimed to have a solution for the rat problem. The major accepted, and in return would pay the piper a sum of 1.000 guilders (Guilder is the English translation of the Dutch and German gulden, originally shortened from Middle High German guldin pfenninc "gold penny".). So the piper accepted and played his piper to lure the rats to the western river, where he drowned them. But even with his succes, the major refused to pay the full sum and even blaimed the piper for bringing the rats in the town in the first place. The piper vowed revenge and left. On Saint John and Paul´s day, when every adult would be at the church. The piper returned, wearing full green, like a hunter, played his pipe and lured all the towns children out of town. Only three children stayed behind, one was lame and could not follow quickly ennough, the second was deaf and could not hear the music and the last one was blind and was unable to see where they were going. So these children stayed behing and told the adults what has happen. Now, there a many versions of the story of where he lead the children. Most believe he lead them to a cave. There are version where he leads them to the top of Koppelberg Hill, where he took them to a beautiful land, or he lead them to a place called Koppenberg Mountain, or he lead them to Transylvania. But one thing all the storys have in cummon, the children where never seen again...... The Moral of the Story is, to never be ungreteful. (Thanks for for your attention)
