If I was a bird, I would HATE having my feathers constantly ruffled the wrong way. He seems to even try to flatten them out himself, as much as he is able. I think he would like being petted going with the grain of his feathers better. I know you're a great bird-Mom still!

Every bird is different and prefers it in different ways. Some prefer towards, some against, some in circular and some don’t like it at all. Ricco loves to be petted this way, he actually will come against my hand and ask for tickles lol.

Rico's mom the African grey parrots are so amazing when it comes to talking :O the Indian ring necks are so adorable though and I think the Indian ring necks do a lot better as pets the African grey are simply so unhappy being in a cage there meant to fly free so is rico but he seems pretty good @@Riccothegreenpiedirn

Ricco is a pied mutation, they do not develop the ring. I have a video all about him in my playlist
