Silo S2E9 “The Safeguard” Breakdown Recap & Review *SPOILERS*

Solo did not kill Chase and Tess when he was 12. The rebellion broke out and Chase and Tess figured out Solo must have food in his vault years later. As Juliet mentions a few times throughout the season, their bodies seemed alot more recently deceased than the others in the silo. I dont think they give a timeline for when it happened. Obviously all the kids were born after the rebellion and it likely took Chase and Tess a really long time before they were able to guess the right code. It probably happened within the last decade.

Juliete says that Solo was 12 yo when the rebelion took place. As far as I remember, she never said he was 12 when he got shot in the vault. But if most of the audience didn't understand this, so the writers of the series aren't doing a good job!!

You are missing it. Solo was 12 when it started. The parents only got in between 6 and 8 years ago based on the age of the kid they had together that we saw babysitting the oldest 2's infant.

I see most of the comments, so far, addresses the issue I have too: the "Age Problem." How old was Solo when Tess & Chase broke into the Vault, and assaulted Solo? Does "Eater's" age add up? Rick & Audrey having TWO kids, one an infant, the other around 6 or 7 years old. Making ALL of these ages (plus the Silo 17 rebellion, that Bernard told Lukas happened 20 years ago) does NOT work. Either the writers (as you suggest) did a POOR job in casting the Rick/Audrey/Eater characters or they are dropping a Huge Clue: part of what the "Safeguard" does is not only Erase memories, but Implants memories. One of the on-going themes is that the "Founders" or whomever is controlling everything, provides DIFFERENT/False narratives that characters truly believe to be True. [Example: the different endings of "Romeo & Juliet" in different silos.] I have NOT read the books, but if I was writing a series, this would be a great Twist. Moving forward to my predictions/guess for the Season Finale. First, I don't think Juliette actually gets back to Silo 18. I think she WILL establish communication with Lukas--now that Lukas has access to the Silo 18 Vault--and communicated with the "AI"; and Juliette is now in the Silo 17 Vault. And, Bernard said (?) that there is silo-to-silo communication. Finally, I agree with you that the Rebels will gain the upper hand--but, BUT I think Lukas & Juliette will PREVENT the Rebels from having a Final Victory; because they don't want the Safeguard to be implemented, which will kill ALL of the Silo 18 inhabitants. P.S.--The reason the "A.I." didn't talk to George is because the "A.I." knows EVERYBODY in each of the silos; and knew that George was not someone who could receive the info. Only the IT Heads and their Shadows. BUT, only if they make contact with the "A.I." and Bernard never has--so he's not "authorized" to know the info.

Whe Lucas made it to the door and it said to not tell anyone and who it had talked to before was like "Oh, I know why the judge was an alcoholic now. . .". That is a major knowledge burden to carry around completely by yourself and seeing people everyday whose lives could end bc "Safeguard".

I kinda with Sim's wife would have shown her true colors earlier. I think it would have made for good tv.

I think Solo must be lying about being 12 when Chase and Tess breached the vault. He has to have been older. I think he's lying... Also yes, the season would have been much better had they spread some of these narrative beats and reveals throughout the season. The possible rebellion machinations in Silo 18 was so boring most of the season.
