Dusclops with Evolite is almost always a better option than Dusknoir.

Pretty true, and kinda sad. Just like with Chansey/Blissey, Dusknoir was chosen for its defensive properties and the introduction of Eviolite just made Dusclops better at the role. It just has to watch out for Knock Off though, which is very common.

Still, Dusknoir can’t do much somehow. It’s funny that Dusknoir literally exists to improve Dusclops. Yes, Dusknoir has Poltergeist now but it’s a bit too late to say that Dusknoir has any viability/utility.

Dusknoir's defenses and Mismagius's boosted Special Attack are insane, but Chandelure's Special Attack is ABSOLUTELY insane! Phoebe's team also puts the "mon" in Pokemon, as every other team member here seems to be a "monster" or at least have a "monstrous" stat!

It does. They do not have enough appearances in the games to build a decent team, and Silph does not use teams from the Adventures manga. I guess Prof. Oak was an exception, though.

Optional team update: Phoebe was given a Cofigrigus in pokemon masters, so if the team needs more bulk it could go in place of Drifblim, but i don't see it adding too much to the team other than that.

Would rather have the 2nd Dusclops with eviolite at lv 70ish than Banette...the ghost-Doll is just unplayble competitively unless you give it its Megastone , but again Megasableye is just overall more usefull... Edit: Little thought here...considering Phoebe's outfit gives me a lot of Alolan vibes, I'm kinda thinking she should have had a later Gen Ghost from that region, but since the Remakes of Gen3 games were 2 years bef gen 7 Alolan games it would have been impossible :( ! A real pity, I would have loved her having a Mimikyu or something a little more diverse!

I mean honestly why would you go for Dusknoir and Banette when you could've gone for Duclops with Eviolite instead? I guess having 2 of the same evolution line isn't what you want of course but still it's a Pokémon with a completely different role and adds some much needed status options with Sableye for Mismagius to sweep later with a Calm Mind set.

I couldnt beat her on my first playthrough of Emerald. I only remember i was at the same level as Sidney or maybe underleveled. Once i finally got through Sidney, i couldnt get through Phoebe. I was using Swampert, Aggron and Tropius. I caught later on Banette and Sableye on the Victory Road, but i got annoyed of leveling them up. So i gave up, and lost the Game, basically

This series is great, but it works better for those who appear in gen 5’s world tournament or a variety of other games. The teams are more mixed in regard to the character’s appearance. Seems like with the Hoenn elite 4, their best possible team is just their ORAS rematch team every time

I'd say Dusknoir having hex is nothing to sneeze at tbh. Any of the 3 elemental punches can cause their relative status condition which doubles the base power of Hex to a stupid 130 (before STAB may I add) So saying it's a "bad" choice because of Dusknoir's stat layout doesn't mean that using your lower stat offensively is a bad thing (especially if you're capitalizing on a secondary effect/scenario)

Dusklops with eviolite is used much more than dusknoire in vgc... heavier bulk... itd be nice to see dusknoire in singles... dishing out damage is more valued than tanking when playing in singles

Why can't mega sableye be used offensively? It learns recover naturally so give it that and let it use its defenses to deal damage. Why can't Dusknoir bring back some of the moves the the Dusclops used like curse? That would be more interesting and unique than forcing earthquake and shadow sneak onto it. And why does Drifblim's ability needs to be changed? Let it function as a mixed attacker with a nasty surprise for those that gets rid of it. Those unconventional movesets and uses I believe are part of her fighting style.

I don't get why silph hasn't done them but they are your main rival in the hoenn games, and or the protagonists, so it is unfair that they have canon teams and he is just ignoring them.
