When I originally heard this song, I had never heard Dreams of Absolution. But I quickly became obsessed with this song and listened to it all the time. Recently, I found a cover of Dreams of Absolution, and the _nostalgia_ I experienced hearing that song made me come back, haha.

It goes further than that: "Asriel Dreemurr" is an anagram of "serial murderer", and the name "Asriel" itself is probably derived from "Azrael", described in several religions as the angel of death. You gotta commend Toby Fox on his ingenuity in devising that name (which he even hints at in an ironic fashion with the claim that Asgore is terrible at coming up with names).
