Derry~Londonderry is the inaugural UK City of Culture. There are hundred's of events taking place over the year including The Turner Prize, The Return of Colmcille, Royal Ballet, Lumière, National Youth Orchestra Residency and the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

Never even heard of this untill now. such an amazing song and a brilliant representation of our town. It shows everyone working together and showing that the majority of us are able to leave the past in the past and look forward to a brighter future. Derry, Londerry call it what you want, both names have historical value on both sides and it would be a shame to have ether wiped from the records. The bitterness some still hold for others shouldnt represent all of our citizens and we of a newer more accepting generation shouldnt stay quiet about it. showing you culture, your background, your religion and everything else shouldnt be something we have to hide. its 2016 and i think people should be more accepting and finally put to rest an argument that should have ended years ago. Just a thought from a 20 year old lad who was raised catholic and grew up calling his home city derry.
